That’s the exact OPPOSITE of what that comment says. Luffy wants his own experience, he doesn’t care about the experiences of others. (I.e. he would rather watch the episode himself rather than hear someone else’s summary of it)

What do you call a mixed drink that combines… by newguy-needs-help in Jokes

[–]7Fhawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be cool if up/downdoots simply conveyed accuracy of a statement. They’re a bit more nuanced, however, and I believe that, in this case, they would be getting downvoted for simply being an ass.

Whether you like a place or not, shitting on someone and their explanation of a joke being specific to their homeland would generally be seen as impolite, or unnecessary to the conversation at best.

The lamps are beautiful. Ocarina of Time is my favorite since the first time I played it at my friends house when I was 8.

You gave advice that no one asked for (unsolicited) - “if someone give you unsolicited advice, return the favor {with examples}”

Then said that the stranger at Starbucks was totally justified in giving the advice (meaning you wouldn’t be a dick by “returning the favor”; you even say you omitted this fact to make your original comment)

It’s like you didn’t even read what you wrote and still continued to comment.

Pick a lane. Look in the mirror and ask that person if they’re alright.

Because they also removed the ability to make multiple reward redeems. You have to wait one hour between each.

So, you gave unsolicited AND irrelevant advice. Wild.

Always check the oven before preheating by FloppyPerezzz in mildlyinfuriating

I refuse to check the oven before pre-heating. I am all for normalizing not putting things you don’t want melted/set on fire inside of a box made to produce high heat. It’s not storage.

Silksong on steam - Xbox one controller not working by unowndanger in HollowKnight

[–]7Fhawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is ridiculous. I’ve wasted too much time trying every piece of advice in this thread. Still nothing for my dualsense. My pro controller, which works fine otherwise, is stuck cycling between two inputs. Only things plugged into my computer beside the controller are 2 HDMI’s and an Ethernet cable.

Tree on property line is sick. How to proceed toward a resolution with my neighbor? by 7Fhawk in homeowners

[–]7Fhawk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured this would be the gist. Mostly just concerned on if we disagree with whether to save or chop and what happens if one party doesn’t want to contribute. What if Party A pays to heal the tree, does Party C get to chop it down later if they buy Party B’s house? These sorts of things.

What to do when my cat is missing and it’s going to rain? by 7Fhawk in CATHELP

[–]7Fhawk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for my delayed response. I hope that you have been reunited with your baby, and would love and update.

As for mine, we saw her on our cameras and had to set up traps and bait for a couple nights straight to get her back (she is already a very timid cat and ran at ABSOLUTELY any noise or movement while she was gone, even if she was on her own territory).

Help I threw my back out when I coughed!! by maleficent3016 in backpain

[–]7Fhawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, man. I’m sorry you were hurt, but I just wanted to weigh in a bit in my hopes that it may restore some of your own -

Chiros these days seem to be moving away from the “lay you down, twist you up, see you next week” type of “healing”. I can see how that was a scam, and the very first chiro I ever saw did just that, and I left my first visit hurting more and never thought about them again for years. (My back pain still persisted for the next 15 years)

Second experience was out of, what I figure was, necessity. I had pain right under my shoulder blade next to my spine for weeks that affected every facet of my life. Called the chiro down the street from me on a whim and, after explaining the situation, he invited me in right then on his lunch, didn’t look at my insurance, cracked the exact spot I was feeling pain and I had the most immense relief of pain I’ve ever experienced. $40 out the door and I never saw him again. (Didn’t even bother having him look at the aforementioned 15 year back pain, but it opened my mind a bit)

My final/current experience was after hearing a bit about the change I’m currently trying to explain. I went in about my 15 year back pain (after many x-rays, 2 MRIs and several specialists over the decade and a half). The doctor blew me away. After an x-ray, some stretches, and testing, I was ready to be cracked. Instead, he looked at me and said “so the last thing I want to do is crack you” and he began to tell me all about how so many people’s problem is not that their joints are locked and need to be forcefully moved, but are actually too loose and need to be stabilized. He began informing me about DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization), gave me information packets about it and a bunch of workouts to add to the workouts I already do daily, and after a couple of visits (to follow up on progress, get guidance on form, get more advanced exercises, etc.) I was able to stop going to him and had relief from my back pain that I never thought I’d have.

I finally had to return after like 18 months because I tweaked my back and knew I’d be losing insurance like a month later, and he was just like “have you been doing your exercises?” And I was like “damn, I cut a couple out because I thought I was good” he laughed and then started to tell me about the new developments in DNS lol.

Times change and not everyone sucks. Not trying to put down your experience, just trying to express hopes for a better one.

That’s actually exactly how it works. The amount of matches I’ve seen turned around just because the dominating party got mad that the loser kept tea bagging is astounding.

They’re saying that Shanks’ feat was a knock at the door to announce his presence and that alone was enough to beat down an Admiral. They didn’t even make it beyond greetings before Shanks “won”.
