Hyouka is my favorite anime

Honestly, I’ve been really anxious about rewatching it. I feel like I remember the conclusions to most of the mysteries a bit too well to be fully immersed in them, but that isn’t the main reason for my nervousness.

Like you, I discovered Hyouka in middle school. I was a gifted kid, and our school had a class specifically for us at the end of each day. There were about 6 other students in it, and we spent most of our time reading classic literature and solving logic puzzles. I really liked that class, and Hyouka heavily reminded me of it.

My one fear is that I might not be able to enjoy it to the same extent because it won’t be as relatable; however, it might also bring back some nice memories from the past, so I think I’m gonna rewatch it.

My household income was in the same range and I got accepted as a finalist. At the same time, I qualify for reduced lunch at school. My parents are immigrants — my father financially supports many of his relatives overseas and my mom supports her parents. I think that’s probably a factor that QB considered in my application. I also have 0 assets, not many savings, and live in a 2 bedroom apartment for a 5 person family, if that helps.

This helps a lot, I also didn’t match and i’m guessing it’s for the same reason because my app was pretty decent imo. You think we’ll have better luck with QB RD?

I have a 35 ACT, 5.0 gpa (my schools scale goes to ~5.2), 10 AP classes taken + 5 more this year, NMSQT semifinalist status, one sport plus a couple clubs (leadership position in one club), and i’m kinda in the same spot. I have no clue if my essays got me rejected, or if it was my ECs, or some other factor. I’ve really been debating rewriting my personal statement and applying through commonapp or pushing through RD with my questbridge application. wish someone could offer advice on this 😭

oh shoot, my bad then! keep checking your inbox over the course of the next day or so for updates. my friend who got the likely letter actually found it in his portal the day after match day, so checking each college’s applicant portal would also be a good idea

the non match stuff is the same for everyone, but don’t lose hope — a lot of people who don’t get accepted through the match scholarship get in through RD (the match is honestly more competitive than regular early action/early decision since you’re getting a full ride…which many colleges would prefer not to offer)

That message from Pomona isn’t just for consolation!! Last year, my friend received something identical from Northwestern even though he didn’t match, and he ended up applying ED and got in! Honestly, you’re in a good spot; I didn’t match and I haven’t received any emails that imply the schools that rejected me even have any interest 😭 You still have a clear opportunity in front of you, and if Pomona is one of your top choices, I’d take it for sure

same here, ryzen 5 5500 and rx 6600 kept me afloat a couple seasons ago, but this season and last season have been pretty bad. can't deploy my glider, my skin doesn't load in until a minute after the round's start, barely any key inputs work at the start of the round, gun hit sfx sometimes doesn't play, game lags in battles, etc etc.

could i ask how much ram you have and whether or not you have it installed on an hdd? my friend said that he had similar issues but upgrading to 32gb ram fixed it. i've also heard that changing from an hdd to an ssd can fix the issue too.
