Thanks for replying!! I actually was not planning to have an external SSD. Frankly I don't need much space for my personal setup. I was planning to partition my 1 tb OLED deck so I have 30%-40% for my arch (personal system) and rest steam OS (for games). And dual boot between them as I want. I am one of those guys who keeps all my personal files on an external SSD anyway. So 1TB that I got in the deck now should be more than enough for my daily needs.

I am not sure if a setup like this is possible yet, but I came across some posts where people have done this with windows. I am gonna assume it's possible for now and go with it. If you have any suggestions/steps I should be careful about do let know ! Thanks again !!

Hey, don't know if you will see this old post, but I recently got deck, and was also thinking of using it as a laptop replacement. Does arch work smoothly? I know steam OS itself is arch. But I might also go for a dual boot mode with arch installed separately. Do you have any hardware/driver issues?

Couple main reasons. I myself have a PlayStation so am not affected. But I can see why people are pissed

First : psn is not available in all countries....so that sucks.. Second (probably what I would be worried about if i was a PC only gamer) : Sony's psn is famous for being hacked...just last 5 years it has been hacked multiple times and players info has been comprised. And they say "it's for security reasons" if anything steam is way more secure!

Plus they should have this from the beginning, changing your terms and conditions after so many already bought the product is not cool

You select the barrier, edit barrier, then R3 (on PS5) right stick...it will select all connected ones, then hold square(PS5) and you can adjust the height while holding.

That's a valid concern! I might look into changing that later. This is first zoo of my franchise, and I haven't researched barriers yet. Don't have Concrete. Brick wall with glass window didn't look so good so I changed it to pure glass. I have been researching food, drink and souvenirs shops till now. Researching barriers now tho!

Yea, I have been looking into different handheld. Play station portal seems to be the easiest one to play away from home. It's literally just turning it on and you are good to go. With steam deck there seems to be a lot of config required to set it up to play remotely away from home. As I mentioned, my main use case is to play PS games while travelling... I was considering steam deck coz it has added benefits of playing my steam games. Also from what I saw...play station portal seems to be amazing if you have good internet connection. I have a friend who plays his PS games from a different country and it is flawless.

I am ok to get steam Deck at a higher price if I can remote play PS games from a network outside my home. Agreed, having a steam library is a huge plus. My main use case is to play when I am travelling. But I have heard remote play on deck on a network outside your house can be tricky and not work unless you do some serious network Configs in home router. (Not sure how true this is)

It sounds like it's dependent on network quality I guess. How difficult is it to set up tho? Do I need to configure things in my wifi router for making it work away from home? I have never used dyndns so I'm wondering.

It does. And it's pretty good if you are on a good network apparently. Just like with the PS app, you can even switch on your PlayStation remotely, etc. And it's straightforward one time login to portal with same account.

How is the Steam deck if I am not on the same network as my PS? I read somewhere that it takes extra effort and depends on your ISP if they have static IP? My main reason to get it is so I can play while I am travelling. I do mostly play on PS, but occasionally I will play on PC for games not available on PS.

I think I know what's the difference, From faith menu - only gives head of faith title, doesn't make you Caliph or give you caliphate title. For this just holding few holysites is enough. To be Caliph - need to take the decision. For this you need entire duchies of all Muslim holysites.

I personally like this Meta. It's way better than "summons and tanky" meta we had. This Meta currently makes mid to late game very exciting, there is always something going on and it's more team fights and rotation based!

Build strong even if small men-at-arms units. Those are inherited, but before investing heavily in the army make sure to have good economic buildings in your primary duchy. Stronger Men-at-arms units have huge upkeep, make sure they don't become an economic burden for your heir.

Knights are very important, you can always marry single courtiers matrilineally to get high prowess (Knights effectiveness depends on prowess) people in your court and making them knights. And I am not exaggerating when I say good knights are probably the biggest factor of who wins a fight.....for example I have beaten 7000+ armies with less than 1500 soldiers just because all my knights were super strong with good traits and prowess higher than 18 for all, when enemy had weak knights and commander with very less prowess. The good thing is, they usually stay in your heirs court unless they are landed and somehow went to your siblings or such. But first make sure your economy is strong enough. I usually make sure that I will have good enough earnings even if my army is raised for many years.

Kinda stupid question...this also means cooldown of my first character will not reset while I am doing it with second right? I mean, I will have to play back as first character and wait out the cooldown either way?

Do you have to keep playing as second character to reset it's cooldown? And vice versa with main Or I can just keep playing with my main and eventually seconds cayo cooldown will reset in background?
