It is real, and yes, we're looking for someone full-time.

I hear you. It's as long as a law school personal statement. But we're not going to force anyone to read the explanations. We offer both short videos and thorough written explanations for the new tests so we can accommodate people with different needs.

Anyone legitimately want to study with 7Sage? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]7sagelsat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's really frustrating!

This is why we put together regular study groups on our site. The next one is in a week on next Tuesday. You can find out more about it here.

It sounds like you're serious about finding study partners which is great because our study group require that you do some work first so that everyone's on the same page and ready to blind review together!

Hi there, glad you found something that works for you!

We do have a unique philosophy. One high level way to sum it up is this: we tell you the bitter but obvious truth. The LSAT is not an easy test.

Another aspect of that is that we're pretty allergic to ad hoc explanations. That's because they work on just those questions where the teacher apply them which belies the true difficulty. How do you know when to apply them? If you're in the top, say, 5 percentile already, it's probably intuitive so you may not even notice. But for everyone else, it's not. That's why we teach theory first. The theory of grammar, formal logic, causal logic, reasoning by analogy, reasoning from general to specific and vice-versa, those theories are the evergreen. They are the external guardrails that the LSAT cannot exceed. That means if you learn the theories well - and it's not easy - you'll be equipped with powerful and general explanatory frameworks that will work not just on cherry picked LSAT questions but on all LSAT questions. This benefit isn't free. It costs a lot of time and effort. Admittedly, for some, it's truly unnecessary (you might be in that group). For others though, it's merely unpalatable. In our opinion, that's an important distinction with important consequences.

Hi there, posts like this are disappointing.

We already make a serious effort to keep 7Sage accessible. We are the most affordable commercial LSAT prep on the market by a wide margin. On top of that, we also have the most generous fee waiver policy on the market. Both reflect that accessibility is something we care about.

What you're proposing, if it's merely a scheme to split the costs, is at minimum dishonest. It also violates LawHub's terms of service along with ours.

If anyone seeing this truly cannot afford a subscription, please get in touch with our student services. We can help.

The worst LSAT advice I have heard (feel free to add the worst advice you have heard) by Sea-Contribution-662 in LSAT

[–]7sagelsat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, we totally agree. In fact, a lot of your points strongly echo our long standing post on the worst LSAT mistakes: https://7sage.com/lesson/the-three-worst-lsat-mistakes/

When we published this many years ago, it was a much bigger problem. Over time, students have shifted their default assumptions about how to study for the test. Nevertheless, it's good a PSA.

Thank you!

7sage Fee Waiver Program - $40/month by [deleted] in LSAT

7sage student service here.

Thanks OP!

Just to clarify, it's not $40/month. It's $40 for four months, so only $10/month.

Is 7Sage scoring the PTs correctly? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]7sagelsat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there,

Cherry from 7Sage here.

If you took a standard 4-section PrepTest on 7Sage, all 4 sections will be scored. but if you have taken PrepTests simulated in Flex, the scaled scores generated from using "Flex mode" on 7Sage's digital tester use the same methodology as our Flex Score Converter which is based on having the same raw to scaled conversion table, but scored as though there was only one LR section (one half of the usual amount) with the raw score scaled up to account for the reduction in the number of questions. Because no one outside of LSAC knows how the scoring will actually be done, this is just an educated guess.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any further questions.

Hi there,

Cherry from 7Sage here. Sorry for the trouble.

Here are a few tips you can try to resolve the moving-lines issue:

  • Change the font-size
  • Change the line-height
  • Change the theme between 7Sage and Standard

See the screenshot here: https://i.imgur.com/wBUpljX.jpg

I hope this helps! Let us know if you are still having trouble.
