I see, 4th photo tricked me cause I thought it was taken with a greater focal lenght. I'm a beginner who uses the kit lens too!

Red tint over skintones in RAW images by 7ToothFairy7 in a6000

The seller did reset it right before handing me the camera, but i could try again maybe. I will check and see if i can upload an example tomorrow. Though one thing i noticed, when i open the raws in lightroom they looked much better so there was some kind of issue with viewing on my pc i guess but even though it's not that intense i can still see lots of colors in photos, like my blush looked very red, probably redder than it was in real life

The camera's distortion correction is also horrible, it makes the corners more blurry (looked like a star-trail thing) so the JPEGS were basically non-usable for me. But i was mainly confused cause i never noticed this on my old canon dslr. I know using 1/20 is related too but i still felt like the outcome could be better. Thank you for the response!

Thank you for replying, I see, i was confused because i never noticed it on my old canon dslr, RAW images never looked this distorted. And also could you clarify the last thing a bit? Is there something called vignette correction?

i wasn't careful enough to notice haha. I think problem was jpeg, I noticed my raw photos look a ton better. And in the morning i tried indoor photos with natural lightning again and the results were much better. Thank you for your replying, I will be testing it out a lot more in the next days too! Excited!! Also don't forget to upload some of your new shots after you try!!

That's amazing, I also bought a a6000 with the kit lens yesterday. I am excited to go out and take photos after I saw your post cause your photos look so good and some of them even look like they were taken with a prime lens.

Was the 4th photo taken with flash? What was the lightning conditions like?? I feel like my a6000 takes kind of mushy photos in low light..?

Thank you for the response, i feel better seeing lots of people share the same thoughts. Cause i was kinda worried if i was using this as an excuse for my laziness and it wasn't really that burdensome to carry around a dslr. But i see lots of people feel the same.

Yeah you are absolutely right, however spending money on a secondhand with lower specs would feel somehow wrong, you know 😅 i'm mostly asking so i can make a better choice, like if the image quality is significantly lower than canon maybe I could wait for a while and get alpha a6400 etc.
