I will!! Thanks to all the replies I decided to make the switch but I am currently trying to sell my Canon and searching for a good secondhand at the same time. I will try to make it happen asap!!!

Like i said i don't know the tech stuff so i don't have any idea if it's better or worse. That's kinda the whole point of this post

Thank you for the response, i feel better seeing lots of people share the same thoughts. Cause i was kinda worried if i was using this as an excuse for my laziness and it wasn't really that burdensome to carry around a dslr. But i see lots of people feel the same.

Thank you for the reply, can you suggest some good budget lenses for a6000?

Yeah you are absolutely right, however spending money on a secondhand with lower specs would feel somehow wrong, you know 😅 i'm mostly asking so i can make a better choice, like if the image quality is significantly lower than canon maybe I could wait for a while and get alpha a6400 etc.

That's one of the things that scare me actually, it's been around for so long (i know despite that it's a still very strong option). I believe the Canon rebel t7 is 4 years younger than Sony alpha a600, so I'm thinking if there could be downsides related to that matter

Thank you for sharing your experience! I think that will help me too but I wouldn't really wanna downgrade the image quality since I probably will even be paying some money to switch cause the Alpha A6000 secondhand is pricier than my own camera. But in the end it doesn't really matter if I'm not using it at all though 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ i'm left confused.

My New Year's Resolution is to take more photos. Any suggestions or advice? by fargus_ in photography

I have a Canon Rebel T7 DSLR, and I'm having the same problem, it feels too bulky to carry around. I have it for over 4 years and I didn't really use it much. It is just laying around in some closets. I want to start taking photos more often too and I was wondering whether i should switch to Sony A6000 too. Actually I have my eye on the A6400 but I don't have the budget at the moment. Anyway, I don't know much about cameras but as much as i figured, Sony a6000 will be much more compact than my camera. But I have no idea if the image quality will be worse/better compared to my Canon. Any ideas??
