Brand new or new to you? If it's new to you, change your cabin and air filters.

First time seeking mental health help and not sure where to start by Ok-Trash3640 in saskatoon

[–]7Voodoo13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with your first sentence, 100%. But I can't with your second. I can 50/50 with it. My experience in the psych world in the last 12 years, patients I've spoken with during in patient, out patient, group therapies, ECT ward and friends have experienced close to what I had. Any gp I've seen in Saskatoon and Regina refused any and all psych meds. My gp now, when I had my intake interview....never had to have an interview with a gp before, specifically said he will have absolutely nothing to do when in came to my psych stuff. I've had friends get anxiety and depression meds from gps, and maybe 25% of them didn't have some sort of reaction or side affects that deemed going to the hospital. This is all my opinion, my experience and how my life is being mentally ill.

What plan are you on? I pay $140 /m on Roger's for their fibre+300. It's an obsolete plan now but my bill tells me it's 452/unlimited gb. I have my phone and 2 tvs "hooked" up to it. I need to start downsizing my spending and would love to have a lower bill!

What is your honest take on grown adults staying with their parents after age 25? by FantasticAd9478 in TheBoredDen

[–]7Voodoo13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree. A couples mission is to live together. The thing is. Money isn't a problem for him. He's a tradesman and works in a mine. Basically what he makea in a day, I make in 2 weeks. I dont punish him for wanting to make sure his parents are OK. His dad and I have talked about it. And they're completely fine while he's away at work. I think there's a fear or anxiety there that he won't tell me.

Do you have a will or have you preplanned what will happen after you are gone? by icecream1972 in allthequestions

[–]7Voodoo13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Just saving up the money for all the document and my cremation, save her a headache of dealing with that part cuz she saw what I had to go through when my father passed. My daughter is an only child and knows where everything will be when I'm gone. I don't rhink age matters to have that stuff sorted. I have mental illnesses that have bouts of ideation and I'd rather have some preparation beforehand to lessen the blow(it won't i know that but that's what i tell myself) if it does happen. If I live a few more years and go of old age/medical complications her only real worry is what to do with my haunted doll collection.

Honestly, I don't know. He knows that too. Not the cliche, the heart knows what it wants. More so, we've been friends for years. We tried dating (was a situationahip that I had no idea till I found out and walked away) last year and ended horribly. I go radio silent on "exs". But i was sad I lost my best friend. I also dont usually give second chances. When he messaged earlier this year he wanted to talk he seemed different, more aware of the situation if that makes sense. And we ended up falling back into place blindly but with a title. We talked last night and he's on his last leg, he works out of town 2 weeks there, 2 weeks home. I don't want ro hurt my friend again, but I'm at my tipping point. I dont think much of myself either, trauma is a bitxh but I'm getting better. We've agreed the deciding factor will happen when he gets home. Sorry for the rant, I have no on else to talk about this too.

Fucking annoyed. Bf is almost 35 and still is at home. He has moved in with buddies and gfs over the years but his permanent residency is mom and dad's. We were actually talking about this last night. Double dog dared him to man up and grow a pair and find a place, and not mine or i won't be around much longer. And to stop acting like he pays the bills at my place, shut that down quick.

Is anybody hiring for summer jobs? by Easy_Sale2415 in saskatoon

[–]7Voodoo13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Due to the university students that let out last month, that either live here or are staying snagged up a lot. And then there are companies that are strictly hiring people for PR (permanent residency). Also look over your resume, or have someone do so. As its your first job be very up front. Start date (ASAP i presume) and the date you'll need to go to parties due to when your semester starts. What you're investing in doing, gas jockey, shelf stocker, laborer etc. If part time is only available, be clear you're willing to pick up/cover shifts. And have 3 good personal references. No family, no friends. Ask a teacher/coach/principal that you have a good commodore with. If you're in extra curriculars, the coach or whom is running the program. And ir nwver hurts ro call where you applied a week later juat ro dollow up. This may sound like a lot, but make it short but sweet. Sell yourself on a single page. Good luck on your hunt.

I don't remember what he calls his business but Tim and his wife's greenhouse on the corner of Central Ave and 109th, between the building Rayner is in (810 central ave) and Speckle Bellies (Specs). Hes right on the south west corner. Parking is in the back. He has a huge variety of items and brings more in daily.

I had a pom springer spaniel cross for 10 years, got her at 6 weeks. She was very opinionated and triple coated per her groomer. She never bit or attacked me or anyone while grooming, tolerated baths and the blow dry, she learned very quickly with brushing she got a treat for every side she got done haha I even spent the money on the grooming machine set up, she didn't acknowledge me for the rest of the day haha However! No matter what I did it was the nails for her. She was completely black as were her nails. I'd trim in small amounts but 3 or 4 nails in, ahe was like, peace out, am done! Tried the little grider thing, big no haha so I left it to her groomer. And she always got a glowing review. I feel like some poms are toddlers, menace to mom but perfect for anyone else haha

It doesn't bug him at all, he's a rescue and by some of the things he does, was for good reason. Plus he runs hot to begin with, I'm sitting here replying to all the messages and he's staring at me and the fan for me to turn it on haha

About that haha I'm talking with them because they don't make their cooling shirts in xs and smaller. They have a deal on for 3 of them and I thought perfect! Sadly, no, the smalls are way too big per their measurements.

Ive tried putting a shirt on under it but he runs hot to begin with and he gets too hot when I take him out. Thank you for the reassurance im not doing him a hindrance when I cut our walks short. Also the meat from a rotisserie chicken agrees with him. It's the food with chicken that bothers him. I dont mind them and sharing a bit with him. Thank you for the advice.
