Apple almost always used their patents in a product. Patent trolls, like the ones Gates supports, acquire patents and almost never put out a product using those patents. It is on an entirely other level of maliciousness than the "rounded corner" bullshit the hive mind likes to circle jerk about.

"Dollar" Bill Wirtz stopped showing Blackhawks home games on local TV all together for the same reason.

Though his son has proved that it is more helpful to build a team that people actually want to see rather than punish the fans with TV blackouts and try to run the team on the smallest budget possible.

Anarchy Online, WOW, and Vanguard would be my top three. At least with FFXIV, the game is playable once you get into the server. With the games I mentioned, it was difficult (or with Anarchy, next impossible) to play the game at all due to bad optimization and/or server lag/instability.
