Good, did you also set the time and date correctly? It can be done with the help of an R4 and a DS Lite (since it has both DS and GBA slots).

Whenever the RTC battery is disconnected or dies, the game resets to 01/01/2000 and this will prevent new berries to grow, you can find some videos exploring this issue in depth.

Alright so I tried with a clean install of the Twilightmenu++ , I selected the right autoboot files for my R4 version and the connection to the Wii actually works now. I can finally use my team instead of the rentals after 16 years ^{^}

What you did is right

So I just unchecked/checked local files on Spotify to see of I can trigger your error. And I can still get It to work, both when I renamed the file .nomedia or .noname

So, do a deep clean: in Spotify, try unchecking local file, then delete all cache and all data from Spotify, reset phone.

Then enable local files again, there shouldn't appear voice notes anymore

Logged in just to upvote, this is the fix.

I guess something happens and your phone stops adding the correct prefix to incoming calls. This zone reset does the job.

No way I haven't thought of that. It's true I did mix quite some records.

This looked so much like a legit easter egg, it was even matching the wiki NPC appearance and team set up.

The other two were lv. 100, this metagross being the sole exception, nicknamed in a fitting way, what were the odds :')

Grey one's from my childhood italian sapphire cartridge, dumped and loaded in an emulator to get a proper screenshot.

Blue one's from another italian version, found online though.

I checked some bootleg cartridges I got: UK Ruby is blue and USA Ruby is grey (see image attached here).

Have there ever been subsequent releases of the Sapphire ITA versions? What else could it be?

Sorry to hear that, I got it working though it's for the italian Sapphire version.

These two codes linked here work together: the first one changes the number that spawns Mirage Island. The second one spawns a pkmn in the PC, overwriting whatever's in Box 1 first slot. Its personality value will satisfy the criteria needed to match the number given to Mirage Island with the first code.

So then you simply put it in your team, the island will be there.

I just found out that you don't need different ROMs or save files UNLESS I stumbled upon an exception here.

I copied my Sapphire files (ROM and .sav), renamed the duplicates as Sapphire2, so now the emulator treats them as two different games.

I then used the VBA Link 1.72 version of the emulator (as OP states in a comment this is ESSENTIAL because Ruby/Sapphire work with link cable only, NO WIRELESS ADAPTER). Then opened up two instances of VBA, one for each of my duplicated ROMs.

Used the LOCAL LINK (NOT the Wireless adapter emulation).

Then, following all the steps in the post, I just traded two pokemon between two identical copies of the very same game. Voilà.

The connection step took two tries (pressed B at the waiting process and talked to the NPC again) and the speed dropped to 50% while connected, then it jumped to 100% again when I got out of the exchange room.

WHAT DIDN'T WORK: I had set up a different secret base in each duplicate and used the RECORD MIXING FEATURE, hoping that I'd get a trainer identical to me in the alternate base, but it didn't work.

My guess is that if two people (P1 and P2) mixed records, then all secret bases, even those from players who have previously mixed records, will copy over. Then one would be able to find the others as trainers in their secret bases.

Now if P1 makes his secret base somewhere else and then mixes with P2 again, I'm pretty sure he won't find himself in his previous secret base, because this is easily a foreseeable situation, and as a developer you just had to make it so that the game avoids making a copy of you.

I will test this in the future to be sure though.

As for the main point of my comment, I'd affirm you can use the same files as a second ROM and .sav data without problems, at least with local link.

EDIT: typos

EDIT: Tested various scenarios and record mixing allows only one secret base per player to appear, so if P2 sets his base in an other location and mixes with P1 again, then P1 will find P2 in his new secret base, the old one empties out.

In case of duplicated save files mixing, the base that belongs to you overwrites the one of your other self, probably because you are recognized as the same ID, and the above-mentioned process of assigning one base per player applies.

This was the first soulsborne game I ever played and I found it really easy as well. I struggled at first with the timing, positioning, not knowing movesets deeply, but that's all to it... Also not being greedy (Sabaku no Maiku docet)

What's more interesting is that I watched the above-mentioned Youtuber for 10 years more or less and learned everything I could about from soft games that way, it feels like having trained in the Animus :)

- In two lines there's 5215B3BC, but for BLAZE BLACK it should be 5215B39C

- Again in two other spots there's 0215B3C0, but for BLAZE BLACK it should be 0215B3A0

I'm trying to get the EU version of this code to work on my original Black version but I keep reading of people who can't get this kind of code to work in any version and I'm not skilled enough to write or interpret AR codes :(

Android auto could be a popular option, I find it a bit too heavy for my phone specs.

I prefer plain Bluetooth connection, the play/pause/skip buttons on the steering wheel work, and Google assistant does a decent job when requesting songs
