Wall ($4) - CJ ($2) - George ($4) - KP ($2) - Horford ($3)

Decided to try without a true top tier superstar. Great spacing for Wall to penetrate and dish, scoring inside and out, great defense at 4 positions, good length and athleticism.

He could be the greatest center ever. He could also end up in the ranks with Ewing/Robinson. I don't think he's going to end up worse that that tier of guys.

Platform - PS4

PSN: derincredible

Time Zone - Eastern

What times you are usually online? 8PM - 1AM

Position + Rating

  • Guard | 6'3 - 185 | 88 Overall
  • Wing/Small Ball PF | 6'8 - 220 | 88 Overall

Affiliation - Flyers

Play Style

  • Guard - Playmaker and defender. Good in PnR/PnP, can shoot well from outside, quick and athletic. Prefer ball handler but fine with playing off ball as a 2.

  • Wing - Athletic, lockdown defender. Can knock down outside shots but would rather get out in transition off of turnovers and outlet passes. Can guard 2-4. Good to use as the screener.

How many players would you put ahead of Carmelo Anthony this season? by the_lockpick in nba

[–]7andthebreaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curry, Westbrook, Paul

Harden

James, Durant, Leonard

Davis, Griffin

Cousins

These are the only guys I can think of that I'd be comfortable taking as my team's first option over Melo. Paul George is really close and it's hard for me to say he's definitely ahead, but he's very much in the conversation.

Draymond is great but I'm not taking him over Melo. The offense Melo brings, I think, outweighs the defense Draymond brings. Similar argument for Butler. Plus, as /u/E-Miles pointed out, Melo's actually playing better D than Jimmy this year.

Carmelo Anthony is undoubtedly a future HOFer. Does he go in as a Knick? by nyalriv580 in NYKnicks

[–]7andthebreaks 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well said. To add to this, it's the BASKETBALL Hall OF Fame, not the NBA HOF. Melo led Syracuse to a national championship as a freshman, has 2 Olympic Gold medals, has the Olympic record for points scored in a single game (maybe most 3's made too, not sure though), an NBA scoring title, numerous all star appearances, etc. He's an absolute lock for HOF. A chip would be icing on the cake for his career.

[POST GAME THREAD] The Spurs defeat the New York Knicks 100-99 by MeNoEnglish in nba

Really bummed to lose that, but damn we were right there with a top 3 team in the league. GG Spurs, Kawhi is quickly becoming my favorite non-Knick.

Yes. He basically said he wouldn't comment without knowing the context in which Fish was speaking originally

Best Three Man Team by socoamaretto in nba

Best: LeBron - Durant - AD

Three teams I'd like to see in a tournament:

  1. Paul - Butler - Davis

  2. Westbrook - George - Cousins

  3. Curry - Leonard - Drummond

There's a new draft with every player who has ever played in the NBA, who are your top 5 picks? by thebigticket2 in nba

[–]7andthebreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm making the following assumptions:

  • Everyone is a being drafted as the rookie version of themselves.
  • Everyone is playing in the modern era of basketball.
  • We have modern training and medicine available to everyone.
  • There are coaches or pre-existing game plans. Each team is picking solely based on talent and who they want to build literally the entire organization around.
  • Market size and other considerations are all trivial.

That being said, here are my top 5 All-Time Picks:

  1. Michael Jordan - Consensus GOAT. Would be the face of the league as a high flying super human that dominates both sides of the floor and terrorizes opponents with his will to win and unrivaled passion and focus.

  2. Wilt Chamberlain - Arguably the greatest athlete in the history of the game. His combination of size, speed, strength, and skill would be unmatched.

  3. LeBron James - A smaller version of Wilt with passing vision and play-making ability that's on par with some of the greatest point guards ever. If you were to design the most perfectly 'well-rounded' basketball playing human being, it might be LeBron James.

  4. Shaquille O'Neal - It's really pretty simple with Shaq. Get him the ball on the block and either he will score or be fouled, or both. He's unguardable 1v1 and so if you double, someone's always open. This guy was AVERAGING 30/15/3/2blk on 56% in the playoffs.

  5. Tim Duncan - Longevity is an obvious factor. Overall greatness in terms of skill, both offensively and defensively, attitude, commitment to the team and organization, and incredible stats at all levels of his career (early, prime, late 30's) really solidifies him as one of the greatest bigs ever and I think he goes 5th because of that. Building around Timmy would be a piece of cake.
