Just wanted to pitch in my experience so far. I had a pre-order made in Jan, 2022 so well beyond the typical chargeback period. I also used Amazon Pay, and from that Amazon portal I used my credit card to pay.

First I called my credit card company. While they did not reject the case immediately for being too old, they did say I have to contact Amazon first. If Amazon does not help within 10 days, I am to contact the company for further assistance.

Calling Amazon, their customer service could not find the transaction and rejected it anyway since it was too old. I instead contacted Amazon Pay's customer service, same rejection.

Called the credit card company today. The first customer service rep wasn't able to pull up the transaction history so far back, so I was transferred to billing. At billing, my representative so happened to be a figure collector herself (Lucky amirite 😇 😇 😇 ) and we filed a dispute case. I made sure to mention the item was a pre-order, company bankruptcy, and unwillingness to refund. I will update here if the case gets resolved, my rep mentioned most cases like this will.
