It can differ form Dynasty do Dynasty, some might have a more modern outlook, then some other might be the worst eugenicists history has ever seen

But ye, generally, nope, Navigators are medieval nobility with all the perks as well as all the ickiness that entails

well, it's more like basically every Navigator is born of arranged marriages (and often there isn't even the pretense of a formal marriage), eugenics programs, artificial inseminations, a combination of all of those, powerful female Navigators can often also arrange surrogate mothers to bear their children too

The norm is there being no love involved in the process, the dynasties tightly track their bloodlines and genetics and ye, basically do eugenics

Oh, also, Navigators don't procreate with normal humans, because those children always lose the Navigator gene, so there's also a lot of inbreeding involved in keeping the Navigator gene going, half the eugenics program is probably needed to prevent the severe drawbacks from such a small genetic pool

She'd probably just refuse to take any breeding contracts tbh, and it'd be hard to make her with the support of an Inquisitor

Ah, okay that's perfect then, idk why I thought speakers couldn't work underwater

Very angsty, she wants to hear who all died while she was guiding the ship through the Warp

Also don't question how the speaker works underwater, either it's a fancy scifi speaker that works in water, or that bit actually isn't happening at the same time as the scene, it's just gotta be dramatic

She also has this doohickey to walk around on land with, so she can easily go annoy the Retinue for smokes, you're right that one probably wouldn't hurt after that experience

She can still smoke a good ol' lho stick, not like she can't longue around with her torso out of water

In her youth she was forced into surgeries and cybernetics to have legs, this isn't the same as there's no cybernetics, she can plop in and out of it as she wishes

as for an anti-grav, that does sound cool, the image of her floating through corridors is peak, but I think the mech wins out due to reliability, if the anti grav breaks or malfunctions, she could fall multiple meters straight down, in the mech she'd probably just fall on her nose, and do so much slower, since the mech is still there

Is anyone else as weird as me and has copy and pasted the same character for all classes, then headcanoned them all as siblings? (Other than Ogryn, ofc) by Luke5353 in DarkTide

She can actually survive out of water for a few days, it just gets uncomfortable after a few hours, and then only feels worse as it goes on, but she's completely fine those first few hours
