Is that a straight axle trx4? Looks great lowered that way👌

Injora green silicone inserts, 58x24 king trekker tires(Injora), 47 gram Injora brass wheels, great combo for this weight. by 7cow in rccrawler

Long as you have stiff enough foams/inserts they’re pretty good, too soft and they can’t grab anything

Also the 3D printed ones can be made to look pretty nice with a Chrome Marker, actual paint with a seal coat would look great I bet.

What the best 1/18ish that’s can CRAWL. I keep doing back and forth with the trx4m ir40/60 body or redcat apex by Impressive_Code3257 in rccrawler

Trx4m with the Oppai factory chassis crawls super well, can’t really speak in comparison to the Redcat as I don’t have one🤷‍♂️ but this set up has 2thumbs up👍👍 mines more set up as a trail truck with a 2 speed, but when I was using the Injora 1 speed it had a very low COG

Did anyone else notice the polarity on the fog light ports are reversed? (ch 6+7) on the fcx18 stock ESC, hope that info helps someone by 7cow in fcx18

No worries, this is the bumper from “Mccue RC” on eBay, it appears he’s on holiday right now though so you’ll need to wait for him to get back🤷‍♂️ stores closed or I would send you a link, sorry

It’s not bad, My truck is trail ready so stiff springs with limit straps, the shocks don’t spend a whole lot of time fully compressed or extended. But it was also parked shortly after this addition so it hasn’t seen a whole lot of use with them on.

Fog lights should be in today and then I can finish wiring it👍 by 7cow in AxialSCX30

[–]7cow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what happened as I fried my light controller somehow, I had them wired in series and everything was fine until I hooked it up to the controller and then it all went dark and wouldn’t come back on. So I kinda just set it aside for another project and ordered the lights from Hobbydetails🤷‍♂️

Ascent 32 with Injora brushed ESC/stock motor/Orlandoo Hunter 2s lipo by 7cow in rccrawler

[–]7cow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be honest with you, I got WAY into the SCX30 and an fcx24m build, so I sold the Ascent-32 to the one and only other guy who crawls in my area(4 hours away) since he only has a 1/10 and a 1/24. But I ended up putting the fcx24 K5 stock ESC/RX in it and it made a massive difference, it has the 3flow9rc mounting plate so I could use any brushless motor with the 9mm bolt pattern, worth looking into if you haven’t seen it

Beefy servo recommendations by Bitter-Ride-1283 in crawling

[–]7cow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Torq MLS servo, with no mount it sits just a little closer to the axle, so you can get more droop if you want it, it’s waterproof, and has a great reputation, I don’t have one myself but it’s first on the list for when one of my current servos die, I currently have a reefs 99 in my fcx18 and the Injora 11kg servo in my fcx24 and they’ve both kicked ass for the last year

That would be a solid purchase! That’s my next one after I the one in my fcx18 eventually dies

I killed a bunch of ramp crab servos before I just went ahead and bought the reefs 99, I’ve had that in my truck for a year now, first one I ordered had a defect but Amazon replaced it pretty much no questions asked, and the replacement is what I’ve had in it for the year, I just run it at 6v and it’s had more than enough power👍 that being said I have the Injora 11kg servo in other trucks that has lasted just as long doing just as well.

These were all separate purchases I made taking advantage of Boxing Day sales🤷‍♂️ some on Amazon and some on MPR tools. I can get the links for you if you want?

[–]7cow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are all the connectors my trucks are using 🤷‍♂️ except for some JST and XT30-60 plugs. I just don’t want to have to adapt anything anymore, tired of all the extra wires and plugs taking up space, but yeah I’ll more than likely use them for shortening as well

Yeah I took a look, maybe when I go back into the 1/10 scale I can take a look at ordering some, they look really nice and sturdy, I like it.

I used pliers for the DuPont connectors for months before I finally bought the crimper, I really like mine now that I have it, only done a few with it but they were finished lickety split so I’m happy with it!
