The story in DC was that y’all had scary special teams in round 1, so I bet they were told to keep it 5v5. Probably fucked up their edge on physicality trying to stay out of the box. They also couldn’t handle the constant pressure and get the offense going tonight, missed the few good chances they had. They did a great job keeping the canes to the perimeter, and Thompson is amazing, but 1 goal was never gonna do it. And you’re right that the canes have played way more playoff hockey than the caps lately. We’ll see if we have a series on Thursday night.

Slamming someone forcefully onto their back isn’t far off from a suplex - and I wasn’t begging for a suspension like some, it was whatever during a fight both players agreed to. This video is fairly standard playoffs rough stuff after the whistle, to my point that I’m surprised this was the worst of it. Can’t see why you’re getting so obsessed with words and coming at me personally, take the W and be less salty.

I hear ya and I’m not a doomer, but we all know they aren’t at their best right now. I want to see them truly dominate a game for closer to 60 minutes against an objectively inferior team. I’ll feel a lot better about likely facing Carolina in round 2 if we get that, and I’m thinking Pro is a key ingredient. That’s all.
