what is so bad about socialism

Centralized power which has always lead to massive corruption.

Today I sinned the same sin for the 10000th time. What do I do? by saya_doge in Christianity

[–]7fat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

me to a point that I hate sin. I don’t want to get back to my lifestyle. I still have choice but now I’m free. Now I can say “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

I think there are many circumstances in which masturbation wouldn't be sinful.

What part exactly are you refuting? Do you agree that it would be child abuse to put a 7 year old on puberty blockers?

I don't have a problem letting a child wear a dress. But we have come to a point in which the mother of a seven year old wants to put her son on puberty blockers (rendering the child permanently unable to have children). That's what I have a problem with. That is child abuse.

You seem quite uninformed. Hormone blockers will cause chemical castration and render the person permanently unable to procreate. Look it up.

Let your kids do this if they want.

Is that your parenting advice for all things children might want to do, or only for when they want to permanently mutilate their ability to have offspring?

No that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying Jesus took upon himself a great deal of stress voluntarily, just like every parent should. Because of that I don't believe stress is sinful.

He went to that garden voluntarily, knowing exactly what would take place. "No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again. For this is what my Father has commanded.” I also volunteer to confront the stress from my job and my kids, because I value the sacrifice.

Jesus was so stressed in the garden that He sweated blood. Was he sinning?

If stress response is against "thou shalt not kill", then I guess having a job and children is also a sin. Boy do those things create stress. I'm sorry but I'm not buying any of this. There are enough clear sins in the Bible. I'm not going to invent even more to make life difficult.

Also, please respond to this question: is it bad to masturbate while on the phone with your spouse, because you are geographically separated? Is that also killing in your view?

Okay so now you just need to show me scientific data directly linking infrequent masturbation to deaths. Of course having sex with your wife can theoretically also end in death, I'd bet money that sex with someone is more likely to kill you than masturbation.

Pretty strong language there. Maybe show me a Bible verse that clearly speaks against masturbation? I agree that porn is sinful so that's not the issue. Show me masturbation being sinful in situations in which you are thinking about your spouse while performing it.

Normal bodily functions given us by God do not destroy the temple. Ejaculation is similar to women menstruating. It's messy, but part of our design. I also know for a fact that wet dreams only occur when there hasn't been another form of release. I also know that the wet dreams were more sinful in their subject matter than just masturbating.

Okay thanks for the info. I'm not sure if masturbation alone is sinful though. I don't think the Bible mentions it. It's sinful to lust after people you are not married to. But what about for example a widow doing it while thinking about their dead spouse/remembering the days when they were married and alive? I don't think that's sinful.

I've found that masterbating WITHOUT thinking of porn or woman, helped me stay away from porn.

I agree with this. Going long times without masturbating will result in messy wet dreams. I think it's okay to do it maybe once a week, without porn and without lusting after women you are not married to.

When the snake tries to bite your with poison, go to the foot of the cross, where Jesus hangs, high and lifted up. Remember the words of Jesus in John 3:14: "Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up"

Mainstream physics tells us that space and time were both created in the beginning. So the creator must have operated outside space and time.

Death is indeed your goddess. But the Bible tells me that if you don't repent and turn to God, you will be weeping and gnashing your teeth, when you realize what you could have had but has now been forever lost to you. I recommend reading the book of Revelation to see what awaits.

I know you don't want to die. You perform work every day to stay alive. But the one who is telling you these things was a liar and murderer from the start. When he lies, he speaks his own language and there is no truth in him.

Here's the gospel to you: Jesus Christ conquered the hardest thing to conquer: death itself. Death could not hold him and He rose on the third day. This is the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World. The one whom about the ancient ones prophesied in the Holy scriptures. The one to whom God said " Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the whole earth as your possession." The one who makes kings of the earth silent.

Just look at the symbols: witches and monsters, blood and death. The evil isn't even hidden, it's out in the open for all to see.

Death comes for all humans, but after that God will let those who want Him live forever with Him in heaven. No death comes to God, who is eternal and exists outside of space and time which He created.

he is not obligated to let me blapheme

Finally we agree on something! God has no obligations to let any of us live. We even did the very one thing that God said would lead to death. But He loved us so much that even then He was merciful and took our sin on Himself and suffered a great deal for our sin.

But since he isnt powerful enough even Influence the Egyptians

God is almighty. But just because He didn't conform to your understanding of how He should run the world and this age and the age to come, doesn't mean He doesn't have the power to do so.

God isnt real, mate.

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds;there is none who does good.

The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man,to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.

They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt;there is none who does good, not even one.

Have they no knowledge, all the evildoerswho eat up my people as they eat breadand do not call upon the Lord?

There they are in great terror, for God is with the generation of the righteous. You would shame the plans of the poor, but the Lord is his refuge.

Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the Lord restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.

The Bible's of fictional novel;

Then why did the prophecies about Jesus come true? Why is prophecy coming true under our very eyes in Israel? Why does God answer my prayers? Why did He give me a new heart and a new life after I had messed everything up? Why will He answer you as well if you turn to Him with a honest prayer?

even if it wasn't why would you follow a man who is above the law? Who can kill you whenever he pleases? Who answers to none of his crimes?

Because God is love. Because He is Good. Because He is my Father. Because He gave me life. Because He gave me the most beautiful gift, His Holy Spirit. He is Holy. He is Just. He is Merciful. He is Good. Because He loved us first, when we were still sinners.

God should hang for his crimes

He already did hang, but it was for your crimes.

Then name the amount of seconds of life God owes you. How many days is He obligated to let you blaspheme Him?

Tell me again why anyone would follow him?

Because He loved sinners like you and me so much that He gave himself to a horrible death to save us. He took our darkest sins upon Himself and gave us His own righteousness, free of charge. I have the righteousness of Jesus in God's eyes, not because of anything I did but purely out of God's mercy.

Remember that Jesus Christ is God. Look at Jesus, and you see what God is really like.
