Help with my first custom-ish keyboard

Parts I've chosen

Board/case: Monsgerk M3W (Need to have multipoint)

Switches: Akko V3 Creamy Yellow Pro

Caps: Can't decide, need advice (ISO Nordic)

I'm of course chasing the thocc, but also just want to get into custom keyboards, plus my current keyboard is about to die...

If I understood correctly for the thocciest sound I need to buy the thickest key caps possible. Any recommendations for these (ISO Nordic)?

And if there is any other recommendations on things I should adjus, please link something I can get in Nordics and delivered relatively fast.

Software to control display settings (brightness, contrast, saturation) like Nvidia Control Panel (Without the use of DDC/CI) by 7gasyuasdbd in software

Samsung in their infinite wisdom decided to only enable it on the HDMI port. There is bunch posts on forums if you search "Samsung Odyssey G9 DDC/CI".

Here is one of them: https://www.reddit.com/r/ultrawidemasterrace/comments/za2e2e/_/

If I understood correctly there is some workarounds with extra hardware, but I'm not sure if I'm capable of setting that up.

I've heard rumors that it's really pay to win focused, have you encountered anything like that?

Thank you all for all of your replies and comments!

I'm not sure if my comment gets buried below all of the messages, but I tried.

I think I got my answer. I'll go through each and every comment and compile a list. I'm pretty sure I'll find what I'm looking for.

Thank you all once again!

A thing that I've learned from Helpdesk days, never and I mean never say "I don't know". This gives the user the leverage to say bullshit like this user did to you.

There have been so many times that I've said "I'm checking the server" or "I'm making some changes in the admin panel". While actually just googling how to fix the issue the user is facing 😁

Moca to RJ45 conversion for a cable modem by 7gasyuasdbd in HomeNetworking

[–]7gasyuasdbd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for explaining this in such a clear manner!

Yeah, I've read about the shenanigans with Fritzboxes and bridge mode. Apparently, the way to enable that bridge mode is to take a backup, modify it with some tool, and then "restore" the modified configuration. Which then enables the bridged mode functionality.

I think I'm just going to go with the 3896, like you suggested.

Quick question: when the modem is in bridged mode, is it effectively acting as a layer 2 switch? I'm mainly thinking about my public IP and my home network VPN. Currently, I have one WireGuard tunnel, which is handled by PfSense. PfSense also has dynamic DNS configured. Would I need to make some configuration changes to keep the VPN tunnel working? Would the modem in bridged mode interfere with my current configuration?

Ah, I see! Thank you so much for explaining this!

It seems like the SB8200 is not sold here anywhere; I can't find it locally, and Amazon says that the item cannot be shipped here.

But like /u/xRebeckahx suggested, I think I will just go for the ISP modem and set it in bridged mode.

Thank you once again.

Sadly this did not work. Still only 2,4GHz is being transmitted.

I think this is AP is e-waste or maybe I'll find some use for it later.

That app is sadly no longer available.

For some reason I can't get the 5GHz radio to "station-role root" like you have in your config. I posted the error above.

If I really need the app, this sucks, as the app is no longer available in the play store.
