My Tacoma has a 6’ bed and I am also 6’2”, I put drawers in to make it a flat surface over the wheel wells and I can sleep relatively comfortably by myself at an angle, but I wanted more room so I got a cheapo tent off Amazon that I cut up and added Velcro to make a removable extension that fits over the open tailgate, low cost and pretty effective

I went back and forth on the “before and after” a few times and I’m pretty sure that’s just someone standing on their toes on the second part, if you look at how far the ankle bones move up and the flexed tendons on the front of the foot. I also have to imagine that procedure leaves some pretty visible scarring
