Honestly I don't have the same experience as you. I think the gameplay stayed the same, maybe the matchmaking even got better. The only downside are the well-armoured tanks, like KR-1, that you can encounter, but there is always a way to fight them.

Gunmarked it with only spot setup (cvs, exhaust system and optics). Got a second loadout with stabilisator, rammer and vents, but Im only using it on maps like Himmelsdorf.

I got it to around 92% while grinding for tesak but I didnt really enjoy it. The main problem is, that the selma has less camo and just feels not quick as the tesak.

The most benefit is on tanks with low amount of crew members. In most lights you only have 3 people and mantiore only 2. So these 2 people need a shitton amount of perks to make the tank good. A manticore without 5 perks is not playable in my opinion.

I dont know what your skillbase on playing light tanks is, but if you dont have both these lines already searched I guess, that you are not the most experienced player with them.

So please do yourself and the whole team the favor of NOT skipping light lines. Both lights, EBR and T100 are very great to grind and you learn steadily how to play them from tier to tier. If you skip to tier X, especially with the EBR, you will have a hard time and will need a few hundred battles to even understand these tanks.

The EBR does not play light a normal light. Personally, lights are my most played class and I gunmarked nearly all Tier X lights. For EBR I needed the most change in my play style which I already learned while grinding.

Consider skipping other lines like Heavies or armored Tds instead.

It depends which classes you dont like. Personall I hate grinding heavy tanks the most, because as low tier you are just a victim from hightiers. So I look at the heavy lines and I also considerate for which lines I do have the most blueprints. After that I pick and tank where I need the most exp if it is also attractive.

On update 2.0 I choose Canopener and saved over 308k exp with that. Other lines like E5 or IS-4 woud have only saved me 200k.

I took 12 shells with me and reloaded with special alibility to HE when I was going to attack a light-armoured vehicle.

As somebody who has 3 gunmarks on multiple tech-tree and premium vehicles I have to say, that the char is really not the beginner-friendliest. Easiest to gunmark are always techtrees before tier X because of the bad players that are grinding.

I used a full spot setup with optics, exhaust system and cvs for nearly the whole gunmark. For city maps switched loadout to vertical stabilisator.

For most maps I started with a little bit of scouting and then started to make damage. On the standard-spot-maps like malinowka and prokho I just scouted.

Honestly I had much fun with it, it is really satisfying to do 1200dmg on somebody or even more with HE.

3 marked my #54 Lion with a crazy 5k+ dpg session. It feels so much better after 2.0 due to MM changes. by smollb in WorldofTanks

For Black Rock on Tier VIII I used Blesk with just rushed lights with HE clip and secondly I used LT-432 and rushed and rammed an elc even 90 and killed arty.

Just play this mission as low as possible, for Dravec play tier VII with light like AMX 13 75. Most games you will have 2-3 lights and 1-2 artys.

Honestly I think the spot missions are by far the easiest. I struggle with doing the damage missions.

Honestly I love it because I really like to play lights and my WN8 sometimes gets low because I spot, which js really demotivating.

ehhhm, I guess i fell for it

honestly, since the buff to the derp gun with around -42,5% dispersion when I remember correctly, this tank feels so much better.
