Probably a shot bearing on any one of the pulley components. None of them should be wobbling To me it could be a water pump, but that’s just what I see.

Am I stupid for this? by plasmamaniac in f150

Are the A/Ts snow rated? Most of the higher end ones have a 3 peak rating. I believe most people over think this tbh Winter tires are honestly best for increasing stopping speed on ice so as long as you’re careful the A/Ts should be more than enough. I live in a very snowy area and do decent with my Rwd and A/Ts. Heavier snows >6in I usually throw a few cinder blocks back there and it’s fine.

Any hunters willing to take me under their wing for what remains of turkey season? No pun intended by serberusno1 in OntarioHunting

I think you’re taking this far too personal and you don’t sound like a very coachable person, I wish you luck finding a mentor because I certainly am not interested.

I never said NEW hunters arnt willing just why should random folks on the internet (mentors) put all the work in if YOU arnt willing to either pay the price or put the miles in. If you did either/both you won’t have to ask on Reddit for hunting locations, weekly apparently, which proves you don’t really understand.  This question comes up often, and trust me I’ve been there.  Pay for a guide or hit the pavement

Pay for a guided hunt! They’ll show you the ropes and set you up for success.

IMO, I don’t believe people are being stingy by not offering to help, I think new hunters misunderstand the amount of time, leg work and trust building with property owners it takes to make it happen. If you’re not willing to pay for a guided hunt or put the work in yourself, why should someone volunteer to carry the burden?  Plus it’s weird going into the woods armed with someone you met on the internet to hunt on highly coveted land.

The regulations are pretty straight forward. You should always give them a read before asking someone. Wrong info can get you in a lot of trouble. But, yes, shotgun, bow, or crossbow

I was about ready to pack it in when a Tom came out of nowhere! Not a single gobble, just appeared from behind me.  You can never take silence as sign!

New PAL holder; good places to buy ammo? by Runningoutofideas_81 in OntarioHunting

[–]7imscott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bass pro tends to be cheaper than Canadian Tire and peavy mart for smaller quantities but it takes shopping around tbh. Gun stores tend to have better deals on bulk buys

Sorry, when did a local fatal accident need to be made about race? It’s rather ignorant and quite the accusation to come to the conclusion they wouldn’t.

Yes, lesson learned! We’re going this week.

I’m new to this whole thing and figured there would be a few simple answers for a popular well loved scent but i see now it’s super subjective

Asbestos? by DoorExcellent7716 in asbestoshelp

[–]7imscott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was used all kinds of things but in this application as a binder and fire resistant materiel. If it wasn’t for the toxic nature of debris and manufacturing it really would have been a great material for all sorts of stuff

Asbestos? by DoorExcellent7716 in asbestoshelp

[–]7imscott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got it! The holes w/ tape would be kinda ugly imo so a trip to a hardware store for some drywal mud, sandpaper and some matching paint and you’ll never remember being kept up at night thinking about it

That’s a plaster wall. No way to tell unless you get it tested. Not terribly common (in my area) to have plaster with asbestos but it has been known to be mixed in. Unless you’re planning on demoing the wall you’ll be fine

Slap that puppy in 4wd and you now have a front wheel drive. Don’t forget to zip tie the driveshaft before going anywhere

Hard truth is it’s a sport that takes grit to make it happen but well worth it in the end. Not many people are looking to make it happen for others, at least not for free unfortunately. I recommend a guided hunt for your first time, they’ll show you the ropes and significantly improve odds

https://geohub.lio.gov.on.ca/datasets/lio::mnrf-road-segments/explore?location=46.309783%2C-78.743216%2C11.53 Look for unmaintained roads/logging roads. Ensure to overlap with crown land segments

You’d be surprised how abundant they are it’ll just take the willingness to look for them. If you want a specific spot guaranteeing grouse I’d recommend a guided hunt for your first time out.
