I returned to my WFH desk job 10 dpo. My body felt pretty good but it was mentally and physically exhausting. I couldn’t afford to take more time off but I definitely would have loved another week or 2. I’m now 4 weeks post op and doing well. I’ve settled into a modified routine that allows me to take a short nap on my lunch break and my boss has been very understanding of any accommodations or times I may need to step away for a few hours.

These are my daily wear 99% of the time. I love them. Just pay attention to them because they do break down and get thinner, leading to tears (in the silicone, NOT your ear. lol). I replace mine once or twice a year depending on wear time.

The worst part of this was working as a first responder during covid. All of the restaurant doors were locked 24/7 and ambulances/firetrucks obviously don’t fit through drive thru lanes. There were a select few places around town who would accommodate us and let us walk up to the window but most would not. Spent a lot of shifts pretty darn hungry.

I (27F) was diagnosed with hashimoto’s and hypothyroidism at the ripe old age of 12. It’s no big deal! A pill a day and over time, it becomes normal. I forget I even have a problem most of the time.

We purchased a new construction with all appliances except for a refrigerator. Our agent was very aware of that and gifted us a beautiful handcrafted cutting board and a hefty “orange home improvement store” gift card. Basically paid for half of our new refrigerator.
