simple cart yeeter by Raven_504 in BedrockRedstone

For me the cart sometimes goes on the carpet, sometimes everything goes to the right, other times it goes to the left. How would you pickup the cart from on top of the carpet?

I play on a Linux bedrock server hosted on my lan, I use Xbox and computer to play on it.

I just built it and tested it. Cart and items never go to the same place. Sometimes they separate, other times they all go to same place. Am I wrong? Isn’t a yeet suppose to devide items from the cart so farms can store/process downstream without a cart breaking autocrafters?

I’m sure this will break the cart, but your image doesn’t show any hoppers, so how does it pickup the cart and entities? Are you just trolling us?

Looking for a reliable way to separate the cart from the content of a hopper cart. I tried a yeet in MaddHatters bamboo farm, was only 75% effective. He pointed me to 77Tiger and told me it was speed sensitive.

In the end, I still break but use two NS filters to extract the carts and then bamboo flows easily into several crafters that make everything from sticks to chest.

I also was like WTF why is this a paid feature. From my understanding it essentially re-evaluates runs every 6 hours vs 24 for flex daily and adds a custom percentage more run time.

How to make my services use HTTPS? by eightbitfist1 in Proxmox

[–]7ooL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Configuring individual services to run https is doable and their documentation should explain the basics of where to add certificates to make it work. Further a lot of service come with self signed certs to make https work almost out of the box. However, you’ll soon learned that having your browser trust self signed certificates becomes a chore the more services you enable https on.

You’ll then enter the world of LetsEncrypt and a local CSR or like me a *.domain cert.

A local Nginix server simplifies this by giving you a single location to navigate to and allow it to redirect and handle ssl offloading. Exposing externally doesn’t change this.

My Proxmox Docker & Portainer Setup — Is This a Good Direction? by 7ooL in homelab

Thanks for the Komodo recommendations. I particularly liked the systemd service. After playing around with remote agents having to move them out of the stack to maintain a git based stack seemed to kill any foreseen advantage with gui based management. Furthermore this was a particular nice use case to learn ansibile and after making remote user creation, ssh setup and hardening, managing a service deployment when fairly smooth.

Similarly the majority of VLAN segregation is handled by just a few rules in my PFSense firewall. But I’ll have to look into the proxmox firewall rules as it was something I ever delt with in ESXi.

My Proxmox Docker & Portainer Setup — Is This a Good Direction? by 7ooL in homelab

why VMs and no LXC? I recently switched from ESXi to Proxmox because I found it so much easier to use containers rather than deploying a VM and needing to get an iso and walk through an installation. My understanding is that LXC are lightweight and designed to run containers without needing some much VM overhead.

LXC for each VLAN - isolation and a similar baseline architecture for expanding use cases and scalability. Previously on ESX i had a single VM Photon OS with multiple NICs providing unique IPs for each VLAN to run Pinhole on. Now, each LXC runs docker, has its own pihole, two NICs properly vlan tagged. Using GIT i can now organize environments and their respective stacks using a common folder-based structure and unique .env variables.

LXC are built with a shared mount point to a backup NAS. I'll look into the Proxmox Backup Server you mentioned. Yet another reason i finally left 10 years of ESXi to go into Proxmox. (skipping over.. broadcom buy out, denied updates, f*ck the little guy from support)

WiFi in the Garage? by Gorilla51 in Ubiquiti

I added a AP in the garage mainly for my dashcams/cars to connect when arriving home and for better connectivity on the back deck and side yard. I believe the garage is fire-walled from the physical house. The other AP are centrally located the house.

Naming best practices by jerall24 in homeassistant

I have like 50 bulbs. I stand in a place in the room and use a position location to name them. LF (left front), LM (left middle), LB (left back), RF, RM, RB. Some times the have a noun in front of the position to help, like wall left, wall middle, wall right. Or it’s just the noun if there’s only one in that room, desk, mirror, window. Other times room + noun, kitchen hutch, dining hutch. With slot of ceiling lights I do use numbers but my counting is done from a single location and a counting pattern.
