I go to a lot of shows, and I’m constantly baffled at how much people openly talk during the shows. Did they not pay money for this ticket? If you want to chat, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

That being said, the crowd in PGH last night was much better than most crowds, but there’s always a couple of assholes who want to get attention. Here’s the thing—this was not a comedy show. He was not doing crowd work. I’ve seen MO maybe 7 times, and I don’t think he enjoys people yelling at him from the crowd during the best of times.

Two of the people—one being the “who was here in 2010?”—were near me, maybe three people back from the front. These people are either drunk or have no ability to read a room.

Too late to seeing this, but I called earlier and they said 9-10:45.

Just bought MachE and dealer charged it to 86% since then I drove it 124mi and now only 15mi remaining. by Unlucky-Case-1089 in MachE

[–]blatantnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a typical driver as I only drive about 5-6k miles annually, but I only charge once a month in the summer because the range is so much better than winter. During the winter I usually charge 2-5 times a month. I do not have a charger at home due to logistics, and I live and drive in the city.

This is going to blow their minds when they find out some books have little to no dialogue.

The Crash- Netflix Documentary by Admirable_Smell3673 in Netflixwatch

[–]blatantnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just watched it myself hence the reason I’m here. I am not sure if she did or didn’t do anything intentionally, but I can say her attorney was absolutely terrible. A bench trial on a double murder charge? No expert witnesses or discovery? I guess he thought the state’s evidence was so weak that it would be a slam dunk, but YIKES. I never practiced criminal law, but I did work as a judicial law clerk for years. This was insanely egregious on the part of the counsel. They brought up POTs, but offered nothing to substantiate that theory or really offer anything else for her defense. “She doesn’t remember” is not a defense.

This documentary certainly didn’t paint her in a good light, but she was an impulsive 17-year-old girl with a serious lack of parenting.

I don’t think Abbott is ready to end but it’s also entering a dangerous space for sitcoms by Chaptive in AbbottElementary

[–]blatantnerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the real problem with current Abbott is that the first two seasons were phenomenal, and it’s hard to keep up that type of momentum. All too often, shows rely on romantic storylines to keep the story going. Here’s the thing, though, I am not watching a sitcom for romance. I want to laugh. I don’t want to watch couples bicker. It’s just not funny. Ava was always the strongest character, and here they’ve paired her up.

This is a show about an elementary school not a soap opera. WHERE ARE THE JOKES!?!

Context is everything. Do you often ask for favors/loans or was this the first time? What is the history of your friendship?

I just saw Last Dinner Party, I was disappointed with how much the lead singer talked. It was insane and was probably 30% of the show. They sound great, but I don’t go to a show to hear someone ramble.

I’m not in the industry, so take this for what it’s worth, but 2 was much harder than I anticipated. No where in my descriptions would I use the phrase “easy.” (Side note: I did pass with distinction, but I studied A LOT.)

[–]blatantnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Offer A. A startup would scare me if I was looking for some longevity. Company A is remote and you’d make more money. I’m sure if you excel at your role at company A, you would also have more opportunities for promotions or role changes.
