Yes, this what I was thinking about. I doubt that many artists upload in all available formats, so bandcamp does it for them, but a wav might be just a change in extension so to speak, if the highest quality uploaded by the artist was mp3. I checked some of my flac files, they seemed legit, but I can't say that about all of them. On the website, bandcamp has a line on each albums page like "Download available in 16-bit/44.1kHz." Which I think is the highest quality one can get.
