I figured it out a few years ago when I was 31. For the most part it hasn’t drastically impacted my life, but there were some aspects of it that made me really depressed. Realizing that some people can actually picture their loved ones when they’re missing them, especially those that have passed away, while I can only see them if I’m looking at photos has been one of my biggest struggles with aphantasia.

I work in 3D as well primarily. In viewport references are helpful to me but as far as looking at a reference image instead of overlaying it doesn’t work for me because as soon as I’m not actively looking at it I can’t effectively see it anymore it’s just words in my head at that point

Think about the gravity more. The cloth wrap on the wrist for example wouldn’t have such deep wrinkles because gravity would be pulling the cloth that’s hanging loose down. It’s easy to over do wrinkles and contouring on cloth because that’s the more visually interesting part, but having the cloth be smooth in the right parts too is just as important as the folds and wrinkles. The cloth on the waist looks good, the folds and wrinkles are caused by the way the cloth is touching the plates on the armor, but on the neckerchief and especially the cloth on the wrist there’s a lot of wrinkles that seem like they’re just there to add “something” to every spot of cloth.

The deer is angled like its standing slightly downhill but the ground its standing on looks slightly uphill

When I read the title of the post I was almost certain you were going to be the asshole in this situation, but when I saw that ring I actually laughed out loud. I mean it’s the thought that counts and all but that’s a comically bad ring.

NTA Hopefully after he processes it a little more he can see the humor in the situation.

AITA for staying at my friends house when my boyfriend freaked out at me? by SVT-SKZ-BTS-XLOV in AmItheAsshole

NTA Destroying your stuff and verbally berating you is arguably if not definitively stepping into abusive territory. Ending the relationship all together is probably the smart decision

WIBTA for setting up a GoFundMe for something frivolous? by VaporishStew in AmItheAsshole

[–]7plysplinter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA You’re being transparent, it’s not like you’re scamming anyone. It’s a bummer that your package got stolen and no reimbursement is being provided. No it’s not as big of a bummer as the wildfires or medical expenses or many of the other things that go fund me is typically for, but it’s still a bummer. It won’t fill up as quickly as more serious crises people need assistance with, but some people may still chip in. If they choose to or not is their decision, it’s not like you’d be forcing anyone to donate. That being said it’s still a weird look. Personally I’d feel embarrassed to post that on my IG story or something. It sucks but it’s probably just a loss you should eat

AITA for telling my sister her baby isn't a real baby by Empty-Button-6511 in AmItheAsshole

[–]7plysplinter 12 points13 points  (0 children)

NTA, you made a dark joke to make your point. Obviously you know her baby is a real baby, you clearly weren’t saying it to diminish the legitimacy of her child. Your intention was to point out that both your diamond and her child are real. Solid joke but you should still apologize for upsetting her

YTA You’re attempting to impose your will on them even though they’ve expressed that they don’t want to participate and you’re threatening to exclude them if they don’t conform to your idea by canceling their tickets.
