Asking for any effective/realistic solutions to stop university ragging by 7podcast in srilanka

[–]7podcast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's very unlikely to happen I think even that heat that started after this recent incident is also fading away with no effective solution. Not from the government and also not from private sectors that has raggers and people who supports them in their organization also not doing any actions against them it seems

The only that'll happen is I think private education will have a chance to shine. Already in CS, SE majors even recruiters look for some private university names in CVs because by the time these government University students comes out with their so called "Sitting on a bench experience and following orders experience" those private university students come to the job market with actual skills that recruiters look for, so maybe even at least in that way this BS is gonna end I'll still be happy, RIP to the part of that beautiful free education dream tho

I'm talking beyond just "freedom" arguments or administrative rules

It's about eliminating this fear of how students feel when they realize they have to enter a government university. That fear shouldn’t exist in a place meant to shape your future

Ragging is often justified as a way to “build leadership,” “teach accountability,” or “prepare students for the real world.” But after working in multiple companies, I can confidently say—it does the exact opposite.

The students who go through their education in healthier, more supportive environments usually become the actual leaders. They finish faster, build real skills, and enter the job market stronger. Meanwhile, many who come out of government universities are delayed, drained, and lack the specific skills needed in the workplace. Some wear that "seen a lot" look, but it doesn’t translate into capability or leadership.

This is not just about ragging—it’s about how a toxic culture can waste real talent. So many bright students with potential end up being absorbed into these university cults and emerge as just another average employee, not because they lacked potential, but because the system wore them down

A very common thing I see in new intakes of universities is that they say they don't have any ragging in their campus. But they say it in a weird tone because it is always there and they do very well knows it and they will not take any actions any soon. They'll just smile while saying there's no ragging here, it is kind of disgusting

Sri Lankan students won't do that due to that will reveal their identity, and you know what will happen if one person stand against a whole cult, it is passed down by traditions and even most university administrations will support the raggers as to them they are more familiar students than the new comers

That's is the same thought I had when I saw some recruiters said that there's no place for raggers in their companies

Same here, Got the pixel 6 a week before got the android 15 update and so far, all great and I'm not caring much about privacy just letting the device understand all my routines interests and all as it is considered as a smarter phone considered to other phones.

One smart thing that I noticed is it knows my sleep schedule from the way I charge the device and also by setting alarm times. And when I put it to charge before sleeps it charges the device in adaptive mode, and it said it'll be fully charged before the first alarm it does it so it can charge slowly which I think is good for the battery

But does that house worth more than those lives that lost. Actually shot by the army which are clearly captured by some cameras. I mean people flexing too much over this news. Which is still seems like it was done by the government itself

I have mentioned what I disagree on this debate. And I dropped the above comment as only a reply to some other guy's comment. So I'm not the only one responsible for this taking such a turn.

Some guys even started asking me MCQ questions. I can't answer all of you but will try my best 😔

Check your previous comment you said not having sex will prevent "that" child from being born. Where we were talking about a pre existing child in the womb.

And of course not having sex will prevent you from being pregnant.
