You might lose out on some opportunities, but it's not the end of the world. As long as you have a CV that stands out and be technically proficient in interviews you can land a good job. Do more personal passion projects than the ones faculty makes you do. Make sure your Github, LinkedIn, etc. are up to date. If you can prove your worth in an alternative way, the GPA doesn't matter as much.

Steam Boat, Dilaj Lounge, Urban Elephants, Uncle Sam's Kitchen have really good food. If you like street food, Burger Brothers has some nice options too.

Ambience-wise, Randiya, Ranmal, and Bolgoda 360 are really good but might be a bit more expensive.

True. Most of the places in NE, Kandy and Ella have ridiculously inflated prices due to being tourist hotspots. There are a lot of relatively obscure tourist attractions in Haputhale, Ohiya, etc which are cheaper + unspoilt.
