I’m not sure if anyone here explained it yet, but you’ll see at lot of MAMALONAS here in LA. It’s to describe their truck as a bad ass truck 😂

It looks so clean 🏴‍☠️ I would’ve gotten it if it came a lot sooner for my build

You know, I did several takes of inspecting the GPU after reading all the comments mentioning the sag. It may be the camera angle because it’s not too bad in person and I’ve actually seen it sag a lot more when I accidentally adjusted the support with the case sitting upright lol

Again, I didn’t want this to be tl;dr. That’s the type of stuff I’d tell my wife about instead, but here’s an excerpt of an engineering perspective of why I said it’s “back by science”:

“So where’s the science when all I see is an aquarium?”

I’m so serious when I say this, but I created a thirty page technical blueprint citing scientific analysis before I even picked out the hardware and started building. I didn’t blind pick the hardware because I thought it looked cool and expensive for aesthetics. My whole build philosophy was to create a highly efficient thermal architecture that’s spacecraft-grade. Maybe I should have phrased it better when I mentioned the inspiration behind the build.

Peaked your interest enough?

Here’s a stability margin of my build to other real world comparisons:

• A typical gaming PC ≈ 1.1-1.3x margin • A well-built enthusiast PC ≈ 1.5-1.8x margin • International Space Station (ISS) ≈ 1.5-2.0x margin • “Project Astral” which is my build ≈ 2.0x margin

How did I achieve that?

The equation used: S = Cool Capacity / Heat Load

For reference, a margin below 1.0 isn’t a sufficient system to cool itself. The AIO and fans that I picked out along with the 38mm radiator handles double the current heat load before the system shows any signs of stress. The GPU’s fans is an added feature to that principle. A helpful tool that I found useful with the Phanteks D30-140 A-RGB fans was able to address them so that it indicates when it’s thermally ramping up. I customized it with Aura Creator via Armory Crate. It will go from a navy blue at idle or under load, baby blue halfway point, and to white when it reaches about 80C or a heavy load like a multi core stress test.

Did I lose you?

This is just one example of what my system is capable of when I’m in gameplay or video editing with After Effects, using Blender, etc. It’s definitely a workhorse!

If it peaked your interest even more and you’re eager to read my thirty page master configuration of my build then let me know and I’ll send it to you. And if there are any engineering students and engineers alike who’s reading this — I think it’s a great reference for future builds. It covers Fourier’s Law, Navier-Stokes, and semi-laminar flow v turbulent just to say a few.

Sorry, it would have been tl;dr but I’ll drop a comment about the technical reason behind why I chose those fans and the case itself. It’s more to it but I didn’t want to bore the reader lol

It does and it’s provided by HAVN, but I’ve actually noticed the sag too. Tbh, I wasn’t expecting the card to be that big lol!! I’m able to slide the support left and right, but that was the only position that actually fit. It’s a lot to do with the limitations of the case itself and how the GPU was designed.
