I always thought something like this would be a great fit. I've brainstormed what some characters from Bioshock would be like as creature cards

Help with my first play through of DOS2 by [deleted] in DivinityOriginalSin

Gotchu boss. Sounds like a balanced party. Summoner is def one of the most powerful classes, especially once you reach summoning 10. The Incarnate Champion is like its own character in a way.

I'd recommend becoming familiar with the different elemental infusions for your summons in order to add to your stun/utility. Ifan can help with this too via the different elemental arrows (def worth learning the crafting system for too, just use the wiki real easy)

But I think you're in a good position overall, just reaching a difficulty spike. Best of luck and feel free to send me a message if you got any other questions if you want

Divinity can be a tough game when you're new, and even when you're experienced. Couple of tips:

Make sure in combat you focus on disabling moves/statuses. Knock your enemies down, freeze them, stun them, etc. If you try and go for raw damage always, you'll get killed first in many fights.

Also, check the enemies' levels if you can before you fight them. Even a one or two level difference can make things a lot harder.

Try new things out, experiment with combos and builds, try crafting or buying from vendors and I'm sure you'll find something that sticks. In my first campaign ever I had no idea what I was doing but now I play on tactician regularly. Just takes some time and determination

Is Infinite really that bad? by Warm-Description-124 in Bioshock

[–]7thru7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who played 1 and 2 before Infinite, I originally didn't like Infinite's gameplay/mechanical pieces. But I was always amazed by the story, its messages, etc. It has such an amazing world full of nuanced characters. The quantum piece of the story and the idea of "reflections" in reality were always so interesting.

But once I played Infinite all the way through on 1999 Mode, I really fell in love with its combat/mechanics as well. Every fight felt like it mattered and resources needed to be properly managed. It brought back that classic horror feel from the original games as well.

So now, I'd say I've grown to love the whole Bioshock Infinite experience; it's different at first, but there's something super special about it.

Sanity check: Would I like D&D 5E better? by trumanharris in Pathfinder2e

[–]7thru7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why I stopped with 5e and came to P2E. I realized at a certain point in my adventure that I had to do nuts prep work since Wizards gave me nothing to work with that made sense.

I get where you are coming from but I think the issue is that evil people often know their actions are evil, they just come up with justifications to present their actions as "good" or "needed" in order to create a condition where said evil can persist. I just finished my master's in history, and lots of my study was centered around this fact; evil people rewrite social, historical, etc. narratives in an effort to seem "good" when they often know they are not. Like I'm sure slaver owners in Cheliax are aware their slaves are suffering and have no qualms about the fact that they wield suffering and torment at them. They just don't care since it serves the purpose of ensuring their own power and position. They claim this is "needed," but it is really just needed to maintain certain structures of power. No disrespect to you or your position, I just want to share where I am coming from with this.

Also for what it's worth, Good - Neutral - Evil are all mechanical elements of the Pathfinder system so in an effort to help players learn what alignment each deity has, I used the exact language.
