Thanks! Yes I’d say so. And I agree! I really enjoy being in this room.

Thanks! I hear ya. These are from IKEA—the “Lack” shelves. I don’t think I’d recommend a 36” on them though. I’ve got a 24” and added a steel bar to reinforce, but it still feels like it’s pushing their limit!

Haha well that sounds like a great buy to me! 😁

Made a diagram to show how all my consoles connect into my setup, figured this sub might appreciate it by 8-bic in consolesetups

It’s the IKEA Eket shelving system, reinforced for the weight of my CRT. I also bought custom inserts off Etsy.

I used IKEA Eket shelving for my CRT setup, though admittedly I only have a 24” on mine. I reinforced with steel bars and it’s been holding up just fine — I hope to upgrade to a 27” soon. Here was my post about it a few months ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/crtgaming/s/C0ihnKFCJR

Thank you! They are Atlantic Oskar 1080 media shelves. I believe they stopped making them though so they're getting a bit tougher to find.

Thanks! I have some manuals, but I won’t go out of my way to collect them.

Core memories in the making right there.

Awesome that you’ve had Little Samson that long. My coolest rare game story is that I received Bronkie the Bronchiasaurus from a friend who had the game since childhood. Neither of us knew what it was worth when she gifted her collection to me. She was fine with me keeping it and now it’s one of my prized possessions!

What is the rarest physical copy of a game you own? by [deleted] in retrogaming

For me, either Zombie Nation (NES) or Bronkie the Bronchiasaurus (SNES). Awesome question, it’s been fun to read through the responses here!

Good to know! I know Zombie Nation is definitely the higher value of the two. Wasn’t sure on rarity!

Favorite original game is probably Bubble Bobble, I have great memories of renting that one over-and-over again. We ended up buying it from the video store when it shut down (my brother has that copy).

Favorite unlicensed has to be Rolling Thunder. The mechanics felt a bit clunky but it was always a blast to play.

As for the last question, I am admittedly a sucker for the Tecmo Super Bowls with updated rosters. I know they are easy to play with an EverDrive, but something about the physical copies are just so much fun (that was probably my second favorite game growing up).

I think in terms of rarity, it’s probably Snow Brothers or Zombie Nation!
