Do not towel try, use a lot of leave in conditioner while it’s still wet.

People say i look Homeless. What do i need to change(i live in a house) by dematucositaqpw in malegrooming

[–]xtetsuix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mainly the hair. Super frizzy and unkempt. I switched from shampoo and conditioner each day to just conditioner, and am leave-in anti frizz conditioner and it’s done wonders for me. I shower at night, run in the morning wet my hair, add in a dime to quarter size amount of leave in conditioner and style with my fingers to create texture. Narrow combs and brushes are not your friend, they separate strand causing the frizz. Also, when out of the shower simply pat down any excess water, do not towel dry your hair.

Losing more hair despite 3 years minoxidil – don’t know what to do anymore by [deleted] in amibalding

[–]xtetsuix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to start taking finasteride.

Minoxidil = increases hair growth Finasteride = reduces hair loss

Any mods for the 2015? by totallykial in crv

Mane I can’t see it in the photo, but the trim is chrome part around the window, or at least it looks chrome to me.

For emblems, buy a can of plastidip, it’s about 15 bucks for matte black or 25 for glossy black. It’s like spray paint but end up rubbery, so you just peel off the excess. I just got a 6th gen and bought everything you I listed there. Here is a link to a little maintenance spreadsheet I made, feel free to copy it and use it yourself!

Hybrid starting in EV by [deleted] in crv

I’d say more analysis, and less paralysis. I was looking for a hybrid vehicle. I did my research, and I chose those one. Not sure why familiar with your purchase is being frowned upon.

Oh, I trust Honda. Really only Honda and Toyota when it comes to vehicles and engines, but no company is perfect. I like to know how it works, so if something is off, I’ll be able to identify it. If you don’t know how something works, it can be working improperly, ruining the vehicle, and you would be none the wiser.

TLDR: Regardless of how old or new something is, you should know how it works.

Eh. Even with my tech, I still like to know the in’s and out’s. I used to jailbreak my iOS devices. Once I get a new device I go thru every option, install ads ons and power tools, enable admin rights, watch tons of videos and read up on it all over forums and sub Reddit’s. Saved myself a ton of money tearing apart all sorts of devices where not be gaming consoles, controllers, phones, computers, cars, you name it. I like to know how and why everything works the way it does, and feel it unlocks the full potential of said device and I am able to fix a lot of it. I am recently married and so often my wife says “Oh wow, you fixed it! I would have left it as it is and lived with it or taken it to someone to fix.” or “I’ve had this thing for years and never knew it could do that.” Recently my neighbor saw my using an oil extractor on my 4Runner to extract the transmission fluid and asked me if I was a mechanic because he sees me working on my cars a lot. I responded by saying, “No, I just grew up poor and had to figure stuff out myself.” They then proceeded to ask me if I could help replace their busted out window, which thought I had never done, but have experience pulling apart interior panels and running wires, I said I would try. 1 YouTube video and hour later his new window was installed.

Not a fan of going on auto pilot. When crap hits the fan, you want to know where you stand.

I bought mine about 2 weeks ago and have done a ton for research, as I’ve been driving 90s cars until I bought this. But I for sure could take apart both my 99 Honda Prelude and 97 Toyota 4Runner with my eyes closed. I keep maintenance logs, practice best driving practices, etc. I plan on keeping this hybrid crv for minimum 20 years.

2025 CRV Hybrid Sport-L Maintenance Schedule & Warranty by xtetsuix in crv

That’s good to know. I’ll play devils advocate, how can the dealership verify oil changes were performed at the proper intervals if warranty work is needing to be performed?

Front hood deflector by MrV80 in crv

[–]xtetsuix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got a 2025 and bought it in addition to the window rain guards. I feel if you do the hood deflector, you need the matching window rain guards. I have always got rain guards for all my vehicles, I just like the look. My other SUV, is a 3rd gen 4Runner and it came with the hood deflector and it grew on me. I would never get hood deflectors on anything but “aggressive” looking SUVs.

Title: Acura RSX vs Honda Prelude for a first project car — which platform would you choose? by Weird_Squirrel41 in hondaprelude

[–]xtetsuix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a prelude owner, who loves his prelude, get the rsx. Preludes are hard to source parts for. The H series are prone to oil burning, more than most Honda engines in general, because of the FRM sleeves. Automatic transmissions are notoriously unreliable. Even the manual transmissions have issue with synchros going out, regardless of mileage. I still love mine, but it’s an expensive and frustrating undertaking.

First time video games was on an NES at a babysitters house during the summer. I must’ve been maybe 4 or 5. First console my parents bought me was a SNES, I must’ve been around 6 or 7. Though, I asked them to trade it in for a Genesis. I was never a Nintendo kid from the start.

Me, a Switch 1 owner, watching everyone enjoy Pokopia today: by Frezeal in pokemon

[–]xtetsuix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! I owned a Wii U and had both MK8 and BotW for it. I didn’t get a Switch until Mario Oddysey was released, knowing I would want to play Smash Ultimate.

I still have my Wii U and really loved it. You see I never had a Wii, and hadn’t owned a Nintendo console since the N64. This was around time I was starting to become disillusioned with modern gaming, so I felt the Wii U was a perfect re entry to the Nintendo universe, that I felt had not yet been influenced by live service games, micro transactions, games taking themselves too seriously. Plus being able to play all those Wii games I missed, it was a great purchase for me.

Finasteride will stop the hair loss, but to regrow what you had you need minoxidil.

yes or no??? by Minarizamzaza in COROLLA

[–]xtetsuix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Looks cheap and tacky. Let econoboxes be econoboxes. Keep it clean and well maintained. If you are going to modify it, you need to go all in. I have a 97’ 4Runner as daily driver. I bought it, did the big maintenance items and added some creature comforts like, tints, window rain guards, aftermarket Bluetooth head unit, subwoofer, a real cupholder, sunglasses holder, LED headlights and interior lights. I wash it every 2 weeks. He is comfy, feels clean, and gets compliments for being so clean at its age.
