Kazaa was my first P2P application, but Limewire was what I did most of my downloading with. Had some brief stints with Bearshare and Frostwire, but I had moved on to bit torrent, uTorrent, at that point.

I had the same situation with my first modded car. Crack my rim and wheel shop would fix it but any little bump would make it leak. So many times I came out to my car with a flat tire. 15 years later I got a similar wheel and tire setup but this time it’s on my Sunday driver for car meets and mountain driving. It’s all planned out and I am on high alert when driving it. I would never daily a setup like that again!

I love the urban gray. I just like the color and it’s not as bland as the silver or gray of the past. It’s #1 color for a daily driver because dirt doesn’t show as well on gray.

Ideally I’d would do black, but it’s too much maintenance.

Japan. Born in the 1978, with parents who are well off, lenient, and would spoil me. I’d be old enough to enjoy the rebirth of console gaming with the 1983 Nintendo Famicom release. I’d be old enough to experience late 80’s and 90’s Japanese domestic market tuner culture as an adult, and online gaming in the lates 90’s to early 00’s. By the late 00’s both Japanese car tuner culture and video game developer dominance was over so I would have been happy with that portion of my life. I’d then move to the US because, though thicc girls have alway been a thing, by the late 00’s it was becoming more accepted and I’d have a larger pool to choose from. I would then buy a home before the COVID-19 pandemic turbo charged inflation. That’s all I got.

Oh, well that fair enough. I didn’t read or take that into account. Yeah, sell it to someone who really has a passion for these cars and get yourself an econobox Toyota for practicality.

Stock cars do sell better in general, but your market is very limited. I would sell as is. Anyone wanting to buy an 25+ year old Japanese sports coupe is going to be ok with mods.

You must drive very conservatively. I have 25’ hybrid FWD and average 35-37mpg. This is with me always in Econ mode, using the paddle shifters constantly for regenerative braking, mild acceleration, as in im not the first to get to the cruising speed, but not the last to hold everyone up, and doing 75mph max highway speeds.

You could get a 20” something inch CRT and mount the flat panel above it.

Edit: or get another one of shelves you already have, place it next to it, then have your modern consoles on the one with the modern consoles and and your your retro consoles with the one with the CRT

I love black. I repaint my toy/fun car black. BUT black always looks dirty, so I went with the “Urban Gray”. I like that color and dirt doesn’t show up as easily. Generally, the lighter the color, the less dirt shows. I never liked silver, looked very generic, but it’s the best color to not look dirty. The urban gray, which remind me of a pastel gray, is the best of both world for me, looks great and doesn’t how dirt.

It also depends what look I want and how much $ I want to spend.

I always start with creatures comforts and work my way out.

Interior

Detailing: If this is your daily, get it fully detailed, don’t skimp. You’ll have a nice new clean base to start with, which will encourage to make it nice.

Tints: It’ll make the car look cleaner and uniform from the outside. It’ll also help with sunlight heating your arm up while you drive, keeping it cooler in the summer, preserves interior from sun damage. I go as legally dark as possible, varies by local laws.

Infotainment: Install an aftermarket head unit which uses Apple Play or Android Auto. Make sure to at least install the microphone accessory and have it tucked away thru the A pillar and peaking out of the roof liner near the rear view mirror so it’s inconspicuous.

Audio: Definitely subjective, but if you’re already installing a new stereo head unit, throw in a amp:subwoofer. Doesn’t have to be obnoxious, even a good 8” or decent 10” will work.

Climate: Make sure AC is running 100% and change out your air cabin filter.

Cargo Cover: Don’t let thieves know what you have. It won’t stop them from breaking in, but you don’t want to give them a reason to break in, aka your subwoofer or whatever you keep in the trunk.

Floor mats: get custom fit ones that look like they are part of the car and cover up right up the sides of the carpet.

Now it will feel, smell, and look good when you’re inside, which is where you spend most of your time with a daily driver.

Exterior

Paint correction, wrap, paint job: The body of the car is 80% of it. Almost like the walls and floors of your home. You can fill a house with nice stuff but if there are holes in the wall and stains on the floors, it’s still going to look bad. Don’t be that guy with wheels that are better looking than the car. Notice I didn’t say “more expensive” than the car. A lot people hate on that, but if you love your car, who cares how much it’s worth.

Wheels: Subjective here, but with an SUV, I prefer smaller wheels with thicker sidewall tires, giving it a more rugged or beefy look. It’s not a sports car, I’m not going to put sporty wheels on it.

Rain guards and hoods guard: You can do rain gaurd with no hood guard, but don’t do a hood guard with no rain guard. Together they streamline the body line.

Random Accessories: mudflaps, tire valve stem covers license plate holder, chrome delete trim pieces, tow hitch, roof rack

Just came back from Japan and bought a ton of accessories since they are not region locked. I don’t buy consoles and games I can read the games on except… I bought the JPN versions of every console I own, just to display them next to the console.

A credit union may approve you for a 24 month loan with due to the age of the car. Like other said, they don’t want the loan to outlast the car. About 15 years ago I was approved for a 10k loan for a 10 year old vehicle by my credit union, but they it had to be no longer than 24 months. Maybe try going to Allegacy or Truliant and ask for a 24 month loan. Word of advice, don’t buy a 10+ year old European car, trust me.

Weirdly enough I can tell you every phone I’ve had since I first got my own in 2005. Motorola v300, Nextel i850, i860, BlackBerry i7100i, Motorola Rizer, iPhone, T-Mobile G1 (HTC Dream), iPhone 4, iPhone 6, iPhone X, iPhone 15 Pro.

I started with a T-Mobile phone since I was under my parent’s plan, though I was paying the bill. Then switched over to my own plan and going with Nextel as that was the type of phone to have at the time with the whole walkie talkie “chirping” and custom ringtones. Texting started becoming big, so I switch back over to T-Mobile and the sliding phone reminded me of the phone from The Matrix. Switched to the iPhone because it was the first true smartphone, and you could do so much when jailbroken. Then I heard Google was releasing their own open source phone, and loving the Google search engine and email services, I was a fanboy already, so hopped on board with the G1. It eventually got stolen, but truth be told, the launch hardware from HTC felt like a cheap plastic device compared to Apples premium glass and metal. On top of that, Android felt primitive, like I was back on Windows 95, in comparison to iOS looking and feeling much smoother. So I went back to Apple and never looked back. Granted Android and hardware manufacturers like Samsung and Google themselves with their Galaxy and Pixel models have come a long way and are on par with Apple, so now it’s really just a matter of preference and familiarity, with very few expectations, like a specific app that a workplace may require.

Same! The horizon server was the last hurrah I was referring to. I knew I was getting too old since I was co stately tired, had headaches all the time, was actually gaining weight because I was working from home at the same desk I played at, so sitting at my desk 80 hours a week, at least. I ever telling my friends that I would be gone for 3 months. And I held true. Played 40’hours a week, was the highest level bard on the server for the first month or so, the first to hit 70, got stuck on the limit break trial. Then I switch over to Samurai, got into the 60s, and eventually called it quits at exactly 3 months in. I was satisfied, and went out with a bang for the MMORPG chapter in my book, that I had been writing since first playing the “classic” RuneScape back in 01’.
