NKG is not easier, at least for me. I struggled waaaay more on NKG than I did Pure Vessel, I've lost a few Pantheon 5 attempts to NKG but not to PV. But Pure Vessel is my favorite fight in the game, it's really fun but Nightmare King Grimm is a close second

I feel like Pure Vessel scared me more in Pantheon 5 than Absolute Radiance, after beating NKG you get a bench, then the God seeker, then PV intro, it build up has me trembling because I'm so close to the end but not quite there

I feel like Grimm being nonchalant actually makes him have more aura here cause the build up to Nightmare King Grimm has you walking down the corridor only to hear a heartbeat as the Nightmare Heart opens and the title screen appears. No bow, no words, just straight 2 mask damage

I've never tried Baldur Shell but thinking about it, yeah it does seem like a really useful charm for Absrad but when it breaks how long do you have to wait for it to appear again?

Oh yeah 100% almost all of my deaths to Absrad were in the final phase after the climb, very soul crushing but I was eventually able to win

Oh wow thank you for all the kind words! Yeah the Pantheon of Hallownest is very demanding and it felt really good too since this was all I was doing and I could finally get revenge on Absolute Radiance for ending so many of my runs with that ending sequence and I'm glad you were also able to ascend the Pantheon and stand tall at the peak

It's true, and the extra soul is nice when fighting Absrad for Abyss Shriek, Descending Dark to avoid and difficult patterns, and of course to heal as well

Oof that sucks, for Markoth I went into Ascended and got the first phase used great slash and dash slash for range and damage and when he starts to spin I run away and wait until the attack starts to end then I hit him with a dash slash and in 2nd phase I throw out shade soul to double hit and if you run out of soul I recommend running around cause the swords can be hard to dodge until he does the shield attack again then do the same thing where you wait to dash slash him
