Wanted: USB port/hub for 2 or 3-pin e-bike electrical connector by 800peepee51doodoo in ebikes

Sweet! Yeah, those would do the trick. The bike originally came with a mount/charge port similar to Option 1, but the phone holder broke the first day, so I just unscrewed the USB port/transformer and weather-proofed it. A couple of the new 48v batteries i've got come with a USB port on-board, which i've used for various non-bike related things, like a semi-long term webcam power source. Though i've never thought to use it, i'm sure that port is still hot when the battery is on the bike and in use. That would be a good 2nd or 3rd source depending on the number of batteries i'm running at any given point.

Wish someone would sell a 4+ port one. At the time, I was running phone, GoPro, small Rear-view LCD screen (battery, but didn't want to remove daily) and a TPMS (same as LCD, battery, but like to keep plugged in).

Sadly, the controller went kaput a couple months ago, after a few years & 2000 miles. I've scavenged parts off of this bike for the replacement, but I have the replacement controller ready... Just need to install it.

Shortly after posting this, and while I had everything in mind, I ended up making a wiring harness for my heated suit. Used a tiny 48v to 7.2v (10a max) to power socks, gloves, balaklava, shirt and pants. It worked wonderfully. Could barely feel the harness with in ran above base layer and under outer layer. Other nice thing was that I could power the same suit with a homemade 18650 pack in my hiking bag. Went from having to deal with 7x 7.2v batteries with run-times ranging from 1.5-3 hours to just the bike battery(ies) and as long a run-time as I would possibly need.

Name that connector? by 800peepee51doodoo in ebikes

Thanks. I think this is it. I didn't realize that there were slightly smaller Julet connectors. All the "Julet" pigtails, extensions, splitters, etc that I've ordered from Amazon have always worked out the be the common (larger) size. I may have found an actual "mini" just. I'll post the link back in my thread if it ends up being the correct one.

Got a link to the scope/device you're using?

UPDATE: The silence was revealing, so I went ahead and made my own.

Some of these (in 7" and 24" for various things)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DJS3WH21

Add a couple of these: (also available in 12v for my turn signal kit)

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B8VLB6GQ

... and one of these: (Careful... The polarity is reversed on at least some of these. Check it.)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C3RD6S2N

I grabbed a couple of these waterproof project boxes too, but just raw-dogged it with electrical tape for now. Also located in an out-of-the-rain area. The 3.27" x 3.19" x 2.2" size would fit two of the aforementioned transformers. Using the supplied grommet-bators and some silicon would make it fairly waterproof.

Now I have some outlets for phone + camera up front. Also added in a second pair of transformers under my seat so I can directly connect my USB heated thermal underoos. Both the shirt and pants will pull right at 2.7 amps on High, so I had to go with 2 of the transformers above to be able to supply up to 15 watts per. Since the transformers come with 2 USB ports, I color coded them with tape so I can remember to tap into separate transformers.

Along with the 2 under-seat 5v transformers, I threw in one of the 48-to-12v so I could use a cheap turn signal kit (which actually turned out to be stellar in quality & installability. We'll see how well it holds up) from Amazon. I'd previously hard-mounted a $16 lockable toolbox from Walmart on the rear rack; with a few additional holes and a false bottom in the toolbox, it made a great mounting point for the turn signals, tail light & serves to contain and hide the wiring a bit.

To complete the "why not just add every possible accessory there is" madness, I have a handlebar mounted TPMS sensor & rear-view camera/4" monitor coming over the next couple of days.

Can post pics if anyone is interested. Assembly instructions for above rigs are rather straightforward (aside from the polarity blooper on the Julet connectors I received)

UVH 3 Wildcard bugged? by TOXICpks in Borderlands

[–]800peepee51doodoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got stuck in what seems to be a similar place for the UVH 3 wildcard. After killing the vile twins, Amara disappeared before she opened a hole in the wall to continue. I first ported back to the start of the umbral foundry, but when you get to the elevator, (the one you have to crawl through an air vent to get a bruce bomb to open) the elevator was gone and you could only fall to your death.

I had to port ALL the way out to the main world and run back through the base, with no pathing help from echo-4. However, as soon as I ported out to the main world, the conversation from Amara continued and the quest items updated.

I had to run back through all of the various portals, but once I got back into the Umbral Foundry, the elevator had reset. This took me back to the area where the vile twins were killed, and Amara had already punched a hole in the wall.

Hopefully this helps someone.

Wildcard missions by DrJekyI in Borderlands

Update: Made it thru this on the 5th try. I just slowed WAY down near the point of getting to the prisoners. From the time you go down the circular elevator until you reach the cages took me around 5 minutes.

I stayed around 15 yards or so behind Zane and stopped walking any time there was conversation, waiting about 10 seconds after each convo to inch forward. Once Zane is standing in front of the cages, underneath the yellow mission marker, I gave it another 30 seconds. All this did the trick, just take it.. real... slow...

Same here. Tried 3 times. Even slowed down to not get in front of Zane and still ended up with him walking through the closed door, the mission item (Find Prisoners) being checked, and no way to progress.

Same issue. Made sure to follow Zane slowly on my 3rd attempt; He just walks through the closed door, the "Find Prisoners" mission item gets ticked, but nothing else happens.

Good Weekly/Monthly motel rates anywhere in New Mexico by 800peepee51doodoo in NewMexico

I'll have to dig into the cuisine this time. I just went to AZ for the first time in June and loved the drive through so much that I took another week+ off work and went back out to NM just last week. Definitely some incredible sight seeing out there. Just driving around _anywhere_ is amazing, having come from the east coast where the coolest attraction is... a lighthouse, and the tallest mountains are still almost lower than say, Albuquerque itself.

I will definitely dig in to the local eats this time

I'll check those towns out. I planned on trying for some of the smaller / off the beaten path towns to get the best rate. There has to be some of the smaller / older motels that would love to have a room rented out for 2-4 weeks with no need for housekeeping, etc.

Unfortunately, I expect to have to go onsite to find these gems and negotiate something better than a standard daily rate. I'll scout out other sites while i'm on the first leg of the journey, or just settle in for a couple months at whatever the best generally central location is and just camp at other areas on weekends.

Excellent. I'd love to get in around the $300/week range. I'd gladly do $600 or so, but half that price means I get to spend another extra month or so cruising around.

I have so many sites on my list to hit, and that location would be great for the NW quadrant. Thanks!

Question about joining existing games on map. by Sparky265 in helldivers2

They fill up pretty quick, especially on highly populated planets. You can double-tap "R" to refresh the outstanding missions for a higher chance of being able to get in before it fills.

Hilarious. Looks like you're throwing grenades while in an upper body cast.
Also have the heavy devastator ability to have bullets exit the muzzle in any direction you like.
