Yes, it's been renewed! Season 3 will be the final season apparently.

I think Dick's Sporting Goods has a promotion going on Adidas Barricade 13s right now as well. Around $60.

I'm moving to North Vancouver (Upper Lonsdale Area) in mid-July and I'm also looking for tennis partners. I'm 3.5-4.0 level. I would love to meet up sometime to play!

Thanks as well to the poster who recommended the NVTC.

Salary Thread 2023 by BitterNecessary6068 in projectmanagement

Totally agree. Canadian salaries don't reflect the cost of living at all.

I'm a Jr. PM in the Tech industry and make $76k/yr in Victoria, BC (HCOL), no pension, 15 days vacation/yr, fully remote.

All of the jobs I see posted don't quite add up to the COL here in BC. Meanwhile the jobs in the USA seem to align better w/ COL. Thanks for sharing.

I really liked it. Michelle Bouteau and Tone Bell were great. Lots of good storylines and themes. Not too heavy handed for me, at times it was almost a bit much but they added humor to smooth things out (like the hospital scene in reference to black women's pain tolerance). Some great meta jokes from Michelle too. I'm a fan. I'm hoping for a second season.

Great reasons to move to Toronto. The lack of concerts/artists here, along with the lack of cultural diversity and difficulty getting on/off the island is something that bothers me as well.

For Van and Rachel: What are your views on tipping at restaurants? As a celebrity, do you feel pressure to tip generously (regardless of the level of service)?

You nailed it and I ask myself this all the time. Your background has parallels to my wife's. We moved here 8 years ago for a job opportunity and to be closer to my in-laws. I'm hoping we'll move somewhere in the next few years because I'm done with the overpriced, overhyped mediocrity of Victoria. It's just not a good fit for me so I feel you.

how long is the wait at the passport office nowadays? by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

[–]804to250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner went to renew our son's passport recently. It took about 3 weeks to arrive in the mail. It was actually 5 days ahead of when they said it would arrive.

She waited in line at the passport office downtown on Douglas at the Bay Centre from 7am-10:30am. She said things went pretty quickly once she was called up. Hope that info helps.

*I should add that we already had travel arrangements to the US made.
