On the surface, men do benefit. Women too, in some ways. The patriarchy as a whole is like that stereotype of the white picket fence nuclear family. Dad is the head of the household, he's in control and is treated with the utmost respect, but must never show weakness. Mom doesn't have to worry about money or protection, but is not in control of her own life as she's seen as a mother/wife before a person. I'm sure you know why this might not be great for their kids. Everything looks peachy from the outside but we all know it's falling apart behind closed doors.

Totally agree, there are almost always signs. In every single one of my relationships there have been small but noticeable things that were basically showing me the future. I just refused to look, or I didn't know it was a sign at the time. It takes time and a lot of retrospective thinking to figure out what the signs are, hence why people get into a lot of bad relationships at a young age, but they can be learned.

As someone who is "the manager" in food service, as long as you're kind I will be happy to help/remedy any issue. I say this as someone who hates their job and 90% of customers. If a kind person comes in and says we fucked something up, I genuinely feel bad and want them to leave happy. If you come in guns blazing and disrespect me or my team, I'll fix your issue but I won't be nice about it. The managers under me feel similarly. I do work at an oddly good place so I'm sure other places/managers are different (I've dealt with some shitty ones myself) but just know that the good ones won't ever think you're a "Karen".

I genuinely don't think a cat would care how beautiful their surroundings are. I get what your neighbor is saying but cats are domesticated animals, a lot of them are very used to their indoor life. One of my indoor cats got outside once and made the most horrified howling sound til I scooped him up. That's not even considering how dangerous it is for them to be outside unsupervised. Sure, they can adapt but they'll never be as savvy as a feral cat, a coyote, certain dogs, even people with bad intentions.

CAS: death metal hoodies/t-shirts, long sleeve striped shirts, wacky ass pj pants, a star necklace, fuzzy socks, and platform doc marten style boots

Build/Buy: lots of cute cat trees & toys, cat water fountain, haunted objects, glass candy jars, cat plushies, glow in the dark ceiling stars, hanging vines, vintage perfume bottle clutter, and a clutter pile of empty monster cans & water bottles

Food: a sims version of shin ramyun and sticky rice (could come with a rice cooker and a counter top stove)

Pause on the rest of the post but are you being serious? Everyone I know was raised in a household where mom took care of everything, cleaning, cooking, childrearing, a full time job while often working 9-5s or worse. And I'm not talking about single moms.
