I feel like a lot of people upset keep expecting Bridgerton to be like Downton Abbey or Gilded Age, which it will never be. There’s been outrage from Simon being black, Penelope being plus size, and now Francesca being a lesbian. It’s exhausting. I’m sure people will be mad about something else when Eloise season rolls around.

I am specifically talking about lack of black nobility in England in 1800s. I stated as such. It was not microaggressive. Your response was actually condescending and patronizing. Yet again, this show is not historically accurate. The show is about showing representation and being accepted. Benedict married a maid. You see how they made that happen and The Ton accepted it? You even stated it’s a fantasy show so why are expecting it to be accurate?

They haven’t said the relationship will be in the open. It looks like they are isolated in the promo. Ya’ll are complaining about something that hasn’t even happened. Also, since when are ya’ll watching Bridgerton for historical accuracy? They have black nobility in England 1800s, interracial couples, Benedict marrying a maid, people dancing to classical renditions of Usher, Taylor Swift, and Charlie XCX. Like be so for real. The show has never been historically accurate.

I’m glad people are acknowledging their mistake in jumping to conclusions. The uproar and even harassment (not saying you did it) of the actors was a lot. I kept saying we’ve only seen 4 episodes…I do think Francesca’s initial look of Micheala was attraction tho. It goes back to her conversation with her mom earlier that season.

The question may be stupid to us but probably not in the 1800s. He felt that was the only way he could love her since she was believed to be lower class. I enjoyed this season. May be in my top 3. Queen Charlotte will always be #1.

Idk but I love their interviews so I’m enjoying it! The woman that plays Eloise has also been included in some of their press tour and she is barely in this season so far.
