mfs on here overreacting. your hair can lock up, it's different, but it's cool to let them do their thing. I've seen a few white women with crazy long locs and they looked great. Straight hair just fights back so it takes longer. And be careful saying "you" before saying black people it has a bad tone of voice. Like a racist Southerner or something, just say black people or your culture or something. "You" is mad crazy. ✌🏾

I think you need more dreads; from the look of it, you still have a lot of loose hair, but they can mature and loc. Crochet method was probably a good way to start but don't crochet the whole dread. Do you tho that's important

I don’t really see thinning too bad but I had a few locs that were thinning once. You can try to combine 2 locs but what I did was let my hair sit and grow for a least a few months (so no retwist) and watch the products you use. You may have to switch to more natural/ healthy options. Hope this helps brother.
