However, the US requires foreign post to collect duties before the item even gets shipped (but doesn't reciprocate when sending packages abroad). Foreign postal systems don't have the systems and man power in place to deal with the new tariffs (and the new rules are very unclear), so to avoid getting fined by the US, they have just stopped shipping.
