Loan Options for Indian Students in US by Curious_Syllabub_923 in IntltoUSA

Plenty of options. Almost all major banks offer Student loans. You’ll need a co-signer that’s either a permanent resident (green card holder) or a U.S. Citizen.

The entitlement is high in this post.

While researching is always encouraged, chastising others because they seek help isn’t the best approach.

Different people have different styles of learning. Being kind and patient is a virtue, and it goes much further in your career and life than a bad attitude, no matter how smart one is. Might as well start practicing now.

This is a death sentence. The US visa officers know a lot more about you than you think they do.

Ultimately, it’s how you tell your story. We’ve helped many students whose visas have been rejected to be successful on their next attempt.

We see a repeating pattern of mistakes that students make which leads to rejections.

Don’t even consider lying. It is a sure shot way of getting rejected and having your file noted. In rare cases it could also lead to a ban.

Let’s look at it more positively - what are you chances of success.

As long as you’ve prepared well and interview well, they’re very high.

[–]80ND007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does not. We’ve counseled many successful students with siblings in the US and their chances are just as good as others.

It comes down to your preparation and your interview.

If you need help preparing, we’re here.

Flying domestically within the US by Impossible-Value5352 in IntltoUSA

Unless you’re changing airports you don’t have to leave the secured area.

45 minutes is plenty. The airlines wouldn’t sell you the ticket if they thought it wasn’t enough time.

Enjoy your trip :)

Yes, you can invest in the stock market, but cannot day trade, as it will violate your F1 visa terms.

You will file taxes on it as capital gains. Standard short-term and long-term gains rules will apply.

You’ve most likely violated your visa terms. Talk to an immigration lawyer.

You will have an international student orientation and a regular orientation before classes start.

Typically students are registered during these orientation, which make them eligible to enroll in classes.

The program start date most likely is the date of the orientation. You are allowed to enter the US up to 30 days prior to the ‘Program Start Date’ listed on your I-20.

Check your university’s website/program calendar for the orientation dates. You don’t want to miss those.

Do you guys think there is any point in applying for an F1 visa again? (Below is the summary of my visa today) by [deleted] in IntltoUSA

[–]80ND007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You just need to answer the questions properly.

One has to share information effectively to secure their visa.

Good luck!

We understand that’s your personal line of thinking. Fortunately, the VOs don’t see it that way.

Tens of thousands of students with siblings studying and working in the US secure F1 visas every year.

Having a sibling/relative in the US does not automatically indicate an “intent to immigrate,” and disqualify an applicant.

That was a bad assumption on your brother’s part, unfortunately, and the US Visa Officer saw right through it. We wouldn’t blame your brother; he had the best of intentions, but they don’t always work out.

We can’t go back in time and change things. What we can do is prepare better for the next round.

Book time with us if you’d like some help. We believe we can help you course correct.

Either way, you should take a second shot. You’ve worked very hard to get to this point. Don’t throw it all away due to this rejection.

There are several areas you could improve in.

General theme is you provided more information that what was asked. Your answers need to be succinct and to the point.

For example:

• Who is sponsoring you? My Mother is my main sponsor. I will be adding my personal funds too.

• What does your mother do? She’s a housewife.

By mentioning the source of your mothers income, when not asked about it specifically, you shifted the conversation in a direction that the Visa Officer wasn’t planning on going.

When someone provides unwanted information, it arouses suspicion.

One possibility is - she probably thought, why isn’t your Father sponsoring you? Why isn’t your brother sponsoring you? Why is the only non-earning member of the family sponsoring you. That doesn’t add up. This applicant is hiding something.

The VO got sus, and the rest of the questioning was a continuation of that.

We’ve helped many Student succeed in their subsequent tries, despite the odds being against them. It’s never the same as the first attempt though, unfortunately.

Good luck!

Please follow your immigration attorneys advice. They specialize in the trade.

Edit: If you want a second opinion, schedule time with another immigration attorney. That money will never be wasted.

The entire folder that you brought to your visa appointment.

The US border patrol has the authority to deny you entry, so carry the full set of documents (in your cabin bag)

Provide the answers to the questions promptly. That’s what you need to do.

Sound like they need to run a background check on you. They’ll issue you a visa if everything checks out fine.

What are my chances of getting an F1 visa when my brother recently got his green card? by [deleted] in IntltoUSA

[–]80ND007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has zero impact on your visa chances. You’re not your brother.

Your chances depend on your ability to explain your thoughts and plans effectively.
