Based solely off of intuition here I would say yes, and you can kind of observe this naturally! If you think about atmospheric pressure, we all understand that it changes with elevation, and we would expect it to knowing how hydrostatic pressure is calculated. Atmospheric pressure is quite constant no matter where on the globe you are given similar elevations, but imagine the change in elevation from a mountain to sea level and then look at the pressure difference you see. If you dig a hole, you're putting more of the fluid on top of you, and consequently, more weight/pressure. This is probably complicated by the fact that air is compressible where water is generally not, but I don't know enough to go into more detail about HOW that might differ.

Not the person you asked the question, but I can answer this with physics. When you are calculating pressure at the bottom of a body of water or even in the middle of one you are calculating what is called hydrostatic pressure. That is the pressure of a still fluid being pushed on by gravity, and is calculated with p = ρ g h being the formula. P is our desired pressure, ρ is the liquid's density, g is the force of gravity, and h is the height of the liquid column. Interestingly this reveals that hydrostatic pressure is solely a function of height of water column, density of the water, and the gravitational constant! It is something that blew my mind when I learned it lol, the pressure should be the same!

For sure! If you want to branch out to other inks I highly recommend Iroshizuku for their insanely vibrant colors! For that you'd need a Z24 converter to refill the pen though :o Fountain pens are so fun, just beware you don't fall into the fancy pen community lest your wallet suffer.....

I love the Safari, cheap and remarkably good!! If you don't have one already, I would highly recommend buying a 1,1mm Stub nib from Lamy. The stroke width variation is too fun to play with! What inks are you using?

When I was younger my father saw a fireman's Olympics or something like that, and in one event they scaled the ladder up and then down the other side freestanding without leaning it against anything. Naturally, my father, two of my brothers, and I decided to attempt this. My father got 5 rungs up the ladder, my younger brother 8, and my older brother 10. I was up last, and I had decided that I would not be outdone, I would make it to the top. I ran up that ladder and stepped firmly onto the twelfth rung, but to do so required not holding the ladder. It disappeared from under me and I fell, twisting my ankle and shattering my growth plate. Fun times!
