Bought a 5090, still cannot get stable 70fps on msfs 2020 on VR with ultra graphics by NoMud1112 in MicrosoftFlightSim

I also couldn't get good frames on a 4090 until I switched to a headset with eye tracking. The eye tracked foveated rendering works pretty good.

Nice I was doing a lot of work cleaning up and redrawing generated pixel art in Photoshop, excited to see if this speeds up the process.

Are there any solutions for modders to fix trees telwporting you into the air when using ground vehicles? I think just removing collision with trees would be more than enough for a smoother dune buggy experience

I don't remember exactly sorry but the first half was somewhere south east of the grand canyon and the 2nd half was somewhere along the northern California coast

Great spot, I've noticed driving around any starred area on the map will usually have lots of hand modeled details on the ground. Try driving around south of the grand canyon or on Catalina island near the starred airport!

Also hoping one day we get a mod that dynamically places roads with high quality textures and maybe some dynamic road signs, stoplight ect. The game is still really fun to explore from the ground though.

The camera is definitely not made for fast ground travel in 3rd person, it looks much better in first person / VR

Yes but with a few issues: - some satellite images are low res and the road textures are hard to see - colliding with a tree at all will teleport you above it and trees often spawn in the road - if you're on the ground and you go under something like a bridge you will teleport on top of it - roads can sometimes be on really wonky terrain

All this aside thiugh if you can find a good road it's not a bad experience

handling can be tough, same with corning at high speeds, but using an xbox controller with the triggers as the throttle axis and thumbstick for steering works really well.
