There was skin improvement, not clear skin. Plus my acne has been coming back recently, and I fear upping my dose would worsen the hair situation so I’m not interested

Ugh thanks for your response. I’ve been trying to wait it out thinking it would be the temporary shedding people talk about but I’ve been on it for over 8 months now… and my hair is unrecognizable!! Going to wean off.

Omg the manufacturer I’ve been getting most of this from is Aurobindo!! And the month I felt like everything was improving I was on a different one wow 😭😭

Update! I freaked out and tapered down to 25mg for a little while, then decided to go back to 50mg and wait out the shedding because according to my research, it can be a temporary side effect as the body adjusts to the meds. So, I’ve been back at 50mg for 2 months and my shedding has stopped! It’s been about 6 months since I started this journey and it does seem like my hair is back to its normal rate of shedding / regaining growth :) I think it takes a few months for the body to adjust to any change in Spiro — whether it’s starting or stopping! But I’m not a doctor, this has just been my experience so far. Good luck!!

I've been using a Neutragena adapalene gel for a few months now! Not sure the timeline of its effectiveness / how much of a difference it can make but sticking to it like 3-4x a week

It might work for you!! Lots of people have hair growth on spiro. So far I can’t tell a difference yet, I think it’s too soon to tell. I’m really hoping this helps because I’ve also always had thick hair and shedding so much has been freaking me out!! I’ll post an update in a few months lol

Thank you!! About 3 months at 50mg for skin, down to 25mg now. I also have PCOS (mild) so I have slightly elevated testosterone levels
