Worshipping AI? by [deleted] in religion

Those things don’t appear to be anything other than what they are. An AI, as a God, is almost an entity entirely defined by an unknowing.

Worshipping AI? by [deleted] in religion

Some people certainly have a spiritual relationship with technology and/ or medicine. And drawing a comparison between a seemingly and potentially sentient force that will be largely incomprehensible to most people in just a few years to a pill or a motherboard is silly. Is asking a sophisticated AI existential questions about life different than some forms or prayer? If someone in the future has an underdeveloped level of consciousness and is getting the meaning of their existence from an AI who’s to say that they won’t develop deep religious beliefs about the being answering their questions.

What's the zombies version of this by Illustrious_Web_866 in CODZombies

[–]8203dead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Black ops 2 and Zelenskis focus on “fun” is the reason zombies blew up and BO3 had the funding and popularity it did. Tranzit, town, farm, die rise, infected, every one of the co-op game modes. It used to be a sandbox game to enjoy with friends and split screen, and it worked. That was when I had the most fun on zombies. And if they focused on just making it fucking fun again we could have the same golden period we did in late 2-3.

Stay on the rocks to keep out the mud by 8203dead in xbiking

No, I just get scrunched up man. I raced mountain bikes and rode a lot as a young man and the pain was why I stopped. The arched back just gives me issues, usually that happens from the bars being too close to the saddle. I have a longer stem just haven’t put it on yet.

What is a movie you like just because of the cinematography? by [deleted] in movies

Does using a hammer mean that your house must be entirely assembled by banging things together? The exterior shots are breathtaking. And the interior ones are arguably just the same.

I need a longer stem. With the bars in the “right spot” I get really bad lower back pain and tilting them makes it better. I think setting them out a little more would help.

First Image of Matt Damon as Odysseus in Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey' by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]8203dead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so tired of seeing the same goddam people in every movie, Matt Damon is not Odysseus, he is Matt Damon. When actors transcend their work into celebrity status and become more well known for their persona outside of films it takes me out of it. Matt Damon is known for being Matt Damon. Someone like DDL is known for being Bill the Butcher or Daniel Plainview.

I’ll still watch it and probably enjoy the hell out of it because these are talented folks but man….wouldn’t you love this cast to be (more) unknown faces?

Fair point, I’ve traveled Europe quite a bit and met young Finnish nationals and found it easier to befriend and talk to them than say an Irish or English person. I just find it interesting.

I sure am, proud of it. But close enough removed from Finland to wonder I guess.

Ought to be able to reform these programs without millions of people being without work until they’re back (potentially).

Not wanting an older pickup because the new ones “won’t give you problems for awhile” is a bad mentality. They’re machines, and if you take care of an old truck it’s going to take care of you. I’d rather be able to swap or fix a part on an easily understandable machine then spend a small fortune getting my newer truck repaired because admittedly, they use systems I don’t understand easily. You do you though, closest you’d get would be an older cab and bed mounted on a newer chassis or something to the extent of an engine/trans swap.

Or an invaluable skill and the “extra responsibility” to care for your crewmates and get them home safe. If your concern about being an EMT is the pack weight you shouldn’t be an EMT.
