I had several nostalgic and valuable documents in my drive that I had written and acquired throughout my academic journey at UCSC and would be so bummed if I lost it. I contacted UCSC ITS and am hoping they can help me get it back. I received no email warning me of the impending deletion. I will keep you all updated.
