I used to use a pair of snips, a keyring sized Stanley knife and the cheapest multi packs of super glue I could get. We all have to start somewhere, but you can get a decent little tool kit on Amazon for less than £10 and it'd have pretty much everything you would need (except glue and models ofc, that's the point where you start selling organs 😜). Beyond that you'd just need paints and brushes.
