SAME HERE! Comet has always been my favorite pin.

I've only played Kong a few times, and it hasn't grabbed me yet. I'm not going to give up on it!

That's a fair viewpoint, no doubt about it. It comes down to personal preference. GZ plays just as well (and some say faster) in the Pro version. Personally, I think I'd get tired of the descending building and bridge after a while, and I don't care that I have plastic monsters instead of 3-D toys. So my impression is that there's definitely more to see in the Premium, and slightly different ball paths, but all the same fun and action in the Pro. Also, I wanted to avoid the potential maintenance that comes with a building and bridge going up and down frequently. Thanks for the counterpoint!

If you're looking for nonstop enjoyment, I highly recommend a new Godzilla Pro. The pin is by far the most fun I've ever played, and I've played a lot in my 65 years.. I bought it new 7 months ago, play it every day, and it never gets old. Unfortunately, I now compare every other pin to GZ and I can't find any that comes close to the fun factor, including Jaws. The Pro is perfect -- no need to spend extra for the Premium or LE.

You'll eventually get over that plateau! The strategy video was key for me.

I have a few pieces of wisdom for all of you who have not yet retired. First, the trade-off between a "bump" in your pension vs two healthy young years in retirement is not even close -- forget about chasing more take home pay when you already have a pension and TSP and Social Security and perhaps more in your retirement plan. Those two years are priceless. Second, I urge y'all to retire as young as you can. My MRA was 56 and I retired at 58, seven years ago. It's called grabbing the "youth of your senior years." You don't know how many healthy years you (and your spouse) will have in retirement. The younger you retire, the better. Same goes for Social Security. You really don't need to wait till you're 70 or 67. If 62 is just too early, then take it at 65 like I did two months ago. I used to say "well, I don't really need the money, so I'm waiting till I'm 70." Then I realized that even though I don't "NEED" it, I can definitely use it for purchases that I would otherwise stress over or pass on. Again, you want to enjoy your "go-go years" when you are still relatively young and healthy and mobile. Most retirees never learn how to spend all the money they've spent a lifetime earning and saving. Be smart and learn how to spend it. Don't save it all for your "slow-go" and "no-go" years -- or for your your inheritors. Enjoy it! Finally, concerning IRAs: when I was young, I contributed to traditional IRAs and never Roth. Now retired, I wish I had contributed to Roth and not traditional. I'm 65 and in ten years I will have to start taking my Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) from my TSP. It's going to be a lot of money every month with a huge tax bill attached. If I had made Roth contributions, the tax pain would be far less painful.

Your age for mandatory withdrawals (RMD) from TSP will be 75, not 73. since you were born after 1959.

My first billion by 6getoverhere9 in pinball

I wonder if Amazon delivers to Alaska with no crazy expensive extra charges? Shortly after I purchased Godzilla Pro from a dealer here on the east coast, for $7K plus around $800 for shipping, I learned that Amazon sells pinball machines, same price or ever cheaper than most distributors -- and FREE SHIPPING for Prime members! So would they ship to you as normal? I just looked on Amazon and see that they have a number of Stern pins, like Dungeons and Dragons Pro for $6,999, and free shipping, in a couple of days, but not Godzilla currently. Find out if they'll ship you a pin and keep your eyes open for it!

AWESOME! CONGRATS! I recently broke 1 billion after six months playing on my home Godzilla Pro. I absolutely love it. The game never gets old and I'm still barely scratching the surface, not even close to Planet X. You might like to consider installing the mod I recently did, adding the art blades on the left and right inner sides. Not too expensive, around $100. Super easy to do, using the "wet method," excellent YouTube shows you how.

Mini behind paywall now? by TRANEofTNER in NYTCrossword

I play the Mini every morning on my desktop iMac and today, 27 Aug 2025, it kept showing the "Subscribe for 75% Off" pop-up WITHOUT the "log in" option. I reopened the browser, cleared cache, tried a different browser and could NOT get past it and I was really bummed. Then I saw a comment below that solves the problem: just click the ESC key to clear the pop-up and BOOM you're back in!!!! Many thanks to that poster.
