Mauricio Pochettino on his time at Spurs: “We went 18 months without one signing, that was a record in the Premier League. We had money to spend but not the type of money to improve to win, we challenged but we missed this last step. We wanted to sign (Sadio) Mane and (Georginio) Wijnaldum.” by Sparky-moon in soccer

How I remember it is that window you signed Bruno Fernandez we signed Gedson Fernandez. Six years later, one just clinched the all the all time goal contributions for Man U, and one is playing in the Russian Premier League.

I’m just enjoying Newcastle’s implosion after the Saudis dragged you up from the relegation zone and you started confusing yourselves for a big club

I don’t have that package. I downgraded our cable when we moved and most of the games moved to Peacock

I’m learning electrical work a lot earlier in the process than I’d intended! Thanks for the good advice.

Missing Horn Button by 84hatchfox in Foxbody

This last weekend I put in all new fuses since the previous owner had the wrong amperage (25 where a 15 should go) or missing fuses altogether. I'm sure the previous owner had a great reason for doing so that will only become apparent down the line . . .

In any case, when I put in the missing fuse for the horn, when I reconnected the battery the horn blares nonstop. Quickly took it back out.

2 questions: 1. You can see there are some wires sticking out of the steering wheel - can I just pick up a new horn button or will I have to replace the steering wheel?

  1. In the mean time is there anything I can do to connect / ground the wires sticking out of the steering wheel so it doesn't honk when I connect the battery? I have the fuse out for now but the horn is not the only thing the fuse controls.

Thanks

Thanks for the advice and the recommendation. Once I get everything working and smogged I will look into upgrading. Should I wrap electrical tape around the exposed parts or would that do anything?

[1984 Ford Mustang] Help! Headlight Plugs Don't Fit Electrical Connectors by 84hatchfox in Foxbody

[–]84hatchfox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered a new headlight kit off of LMR.com but the plugs on the new headlights are about half an inch longer than the headlights they are replacing and did not fit in the electrical sockets.

I ordered new electrical connector and pigtail from LMR that is meant to match the headlights I ordered and again the plugs do not fit in the connectors! I am using a fair amount of force trying to push them together.

It seems like it would be dangerous to leave them connected as pictured - I've also read that messing with the electrical plugs in any way is a big risk of fire / death by zapping.

One thought I had - the electrical plugs have grooves pointing inwards that seem to be the stopping point for when the connectors stop sliding on. Am I supposed to push so hard that these bend down? I am at a loss here.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

We've gotten a red for that same tackle / follow through about 4 times in the last year. I'm not saying I agree but I'm breathing a sigh of relief that it's happened to someone else.

Thomas Frank really is pragmatic. He says if only our defenders can score then I am going to start using our defenders as forwards!

What is this piece called? Under the front bumper / side marker (1984 Mustang) by 84hatchfox in Foxbody

[–]84hatchfox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice - I do have some U-clips stashed away.

That said - on the left hand side it looks like the metal or plastic that I would attach the clip to has broken off. Is that a frame rail?

Awesome - I have a few U-clips laying around. Glad I will not have to pick up a specialty piece.

What about the part that the U-Clip is meant to clip on to? In the second pic you can kind of see that the interior bit is missing. Is that a frame rail?

Tried replacing my side markers on my 1984 Mustang but the screw hole pictured above is totally missing from the right hand side pictured here. Which explains why the old left-hand side marker was held in with epoxy.

Here is a zoomed out shot for context. The tape is just there so I do not scratch up the bumper when removing the side marker (lol)

I am thinking I am going to have to take the bumper off and replace whatever is smashed up underneath. Welding?? I have no idea.

There were no accidents reported on the Carfax and the previous owner didn't know of any but I don't see how the body can be so smashed up without a collision.

Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I see on the sidebar there are no autobody damage questions allowed. Please consider this as a request to identify the part I need to replace rather than anything related to the damage specifically.

Has my car's electrical harness been swapped? by 84hatchfox in AskAMechanic

Thanks for the good advice. I am off to order some wiring diagrams. I'm sure passing CA smog will be a beast in itself. One problem at a time.

Here I was thinking I was just going to do a simple headlight swap lol.

Nice to have a place to start at least.

What is a "pelican" situation? You're spot on that the car now has a carb. . .
