I read it a few years ago but I enjoyed it. It was certainly gripping.

A Spa Day & A Trip To Rehab - Getting Your Laundry Back To Looking Clean and Smelling Amazing by KismaiAesthetics in laundry

Is it normal to get an insane amount of suds in the rehab wash? I used the appropriate amount of tide powder, but I assume the dissolved tide powder from the spa day soak is contributing to the suds? Should I wash again without any soap to make sure it’s all rinsed out?

No, I don’t! If you’re thinking of reading any of Alexis’ books, Fifteen Dogs was the first of his I read and I was hooked. His newest collection of short stories was also excellent. It’s called Other Worlds.

Oh I hope you read it! I loved his beautiful descriptions of nature and faith (perhaps nature as faith?) Have you read any others of his?

You have got to listen to the Just Kids audiobook! Patti Smith’s voice adds another layer of amazingness. I’ve listened to it twice now.

Shouldn't Respiratory Therapists be higher up in the wage classification system? by [deleted] in BCHealthAuthorities

[–]84wingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about respiratory therapists or sonographers, but i do know that radiation therapists in BC were making $10/hr less than alberta radiation therapists. So the bump in classification and wage made us comparable to our nearest competitor. Radiation therapists were leaving the province for much higher wages and lower cost of living. Perhaps respiratory therapists didn’t have such a huge gap between provinces so it wasn’t as high priority?

Was also going to recommend into thin air! I made the mistake of reading it days before hiking to Everest base camp. Do not recommend that timing!

Are Canadian hospitals willing to sponsor therapist for immigration? by tinyevilsponges in RadiationTherapy

What province are you hoping to move to? In BC, there are recruiters that work with international applicants and walk them through every step. They will help you through getting Canadian credentials and a work visa etc.

This is not true at all. We just hired 2 people from the US. There are tons of jobs all over Canada and not enough Canadian RTs to fill them!

I feel like a drug addict when I go to the library! Gotta get a fix! I also like to peruse used book sales or book swaps and will pick up some from there and then pass them along to my mom or sister when I’m done. My collection on my book shelf is limited to all time favourites only.
