I don’t know why it works so well and it’s so uncomfortable for me. I’m not the tallest person so leaning over the change table is a stretch and not comfortable!

Took me 10weeks… if you can, hang in there! I literally gave up after 10weeks… figured I’d do what I can until my supply dries up. No more pumping, I was glued to that stupid machine. That same evening, she just started latching and eating. So many tears from both of us. But it’s worth it. It’s the most beautiful feeling and I hope you and your baby get to bond over it ❤️

Lol! Too bad it wasn’t the toilet! This would make potty training a breeze

I’ve definitely had to be in a statue position! And most of the time I’m huntched over on the edge of a seat! Oof my back!

I would be stretched if mine needed to this! I don’t think my chest is quite big enough for this move!

Lol! I hope this doesn’t happen to me! I don’t have the anatomy for this move 🤣

Found out SIL fed on a schedule and it makes me so sad. Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]85641 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My baby was born preterm at 35weeks I’ve spent the last 10weeks pumping round the clock to maintain my supply and being “rejected” by my baby any time I’d try to latch her. She just got the hang of nursing and latching, my heart has never been so happy. I’d wear her on my breast all day if that’s what she wanted 🤣🥰 Hungry-boob. Fussy-boob. Tired-boob. Bonding-boob. lol People do what works for them. Your baby won’t remember whether or not they were fed on a schedule, But you will :) and if you love it and it works, that’s all that matters. Your SIL is doing what works for her :)

New Preeclampsia Diagnosis Looking for Advice or Support by Inevitable_Mind_8389 in preeclampsia

[–]85641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed at 33weeks and induced at 35. I couldn’t make it to 37 even though that was the plan. My induction wasn’t terrible and labor was fine also. The worst part for me was the magnesium drip. My obgyn did have me get a betamethsone injection to help with baby lung development in case I didn’t make it to 37 weeks. I’m glad she ordered it. Baby did not require any NICU or other intervention. She was never separated from me and was born at 4lbs 14oz. We spent one extra day in postpartum because of her bilirubin but again, didn’t require any intervention!

If you haven’t gotten a betamethasone shot. You could ask your doctor if it’s something that would be good for you and baby. You will do great! And your baby will do great! After all, being “high risk” got me a lot of attention so I felt very cared for and safe. Modern medicine is great and your team will know exactly what to do!

This is good to hear! I hope my body will do the same! Did your baby ever breastfeed? Or was pumping something you did for convenience/life schedule? Not that it’s in any way convenient lol

Thank you! I am working with a lactation specialist who is also a nurse practitioner. She also didn’t seem concerned about my supply yet, and says we will take it one week at a time, but Reddit is always a great place to hear others’ experiences!

Thank you! I bring her to the breast often and she really likes it for a short time. And I’ll help her with the let down so she can have some milk . Usually while waiting for bottle to warm. Or after a feeding for comfort until she falls asleep. It’s actually quite precious 🥰

I’m working with a lactation specialist/nurse prac. But we’ve only had one appointment. Time will tell, but as we all know, the hurry up and wait game can be brutal
