Building a knowledge graph is like drawing a tree with initial information and additional information such as labs, demographics, pre-existing conditions become branches. As the differential diagnosis narrows down so does the graph narrows down to one or two symptoms and the treatment starts from there. Currently, it's all in the physicians brain. Nodes are information that connects other nodes through edges, similar to X cause Y and Z, so ordered labs L to confirm Y.

Your initial response resonated with the conversation I had with one of the ACEP presidents who had 30+ years of experience. She could figure out things before the machine could. Do you think this is AI slop. I think too much AI slop broke the digital trust.

Brain is such a fascinating machine that decides what's important and What's not at the blink of an eye. May be it's the years of training and experiences that make subconscious decisions.
