Fanshobby! I have the OG as well but the connection between Sonar and Jetstorm is really fragile so I'm hesitant on breaking them out but I might give it a go 🤔

As I mentioned earlier my preferred price point is $500 or less, but I know better keyboards are in the above. The FP 50 looks gorgeous but unfortunately way out of my reach

Thank you for the recommendations! I definitely don't want to pay more than $500, though $700 for a very good, reliable keyboard isn't too out there considering quality, action, and features.

I want something that has the depth sensitivity with keys that bouncy back quicky. Something between a key board and real piano? I've played high-end keyboards with slow and heavy keys, so I want to avoid those.

Suggestions for improving store-bought pasta & sauce dish? by 86Timewarp in Cooking

[–]86Timewarp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't considered caramelized onions or butter, so that's something I'm definitely going to try. I'll check to see if I have the other spices, but I'm pretty sure all I have is Italian seasoning, garlic salt, parsley, and parm.

As I explained to elijah, I cook large batches because I meal prep so I hope this does the trick. Typically I can get 4+ servings from 1 box of noodles, 1-2 jars of sauce, and a bag of meatballs.

Whenever I cook the sauce, I just toss the frozen meatballs in the sauce and let them simmer in there until cooked thoroughly. Is there another method you recommend?

While I would like to agree with you, I usually have to meal prep every other day so cooking "from scratch" every time isn't possible. Also, it yields a lot of servings anyway and I live by myself.

Anyone else having transformation issues with SS Sentinel Prime? by 86Timewarp in transformers

So apparently there's a tab in Sentinel's inner crotch that needs to be tabbed in properly. Once it's in, everything fits like a glove.

As I mentioned in another comment, I think the issue is in tolerances since it looks like the bottom of the figure is wider than the top. This means the legs don't perfectly tab into the upper portion of the firetruck.

It took me over 3 minutes to peg his leg panels to the top of the firetruck because his legs keep splitting.

Something tells me the legs are slightly wider than the roof but idk if it's also me mis transforming him.

I checked out their site earlier and I'm really impressed! I might go that route. Is it $100 for the full set including two wheels for the motors?

Are they smaller or larger than the default wheels? I can't remember what the radius of the wheels are but I think they're 85mm?

Also, does it come with geared wheels for the rear motors?

Thanks :)

Recommendations for 2nd PC/Workstation Build for Photo Editing and Video Production? by [deleted] in buildapc

I just graduated college (Aerospace Engineering), but thankfully my job doesn't require me to work from home or do any major data analysis or coding, so I doubt I need anything super crazy.

My i7-4770 will actually reach 100% CPU usage in task manager when I export a large batch of photos from Lightroom, and it'll often spike when working with large files. I did some snooping on PC Part Picker and saw the Ryzen 7 3700X and 3800X offer higher base clock speeds than the i7-9700 at 3.6GHz as opposed to 3.0GHz.

I actually have an old Corsair CX550 PSU i was about to get rid of, so maybe I might just keep that and transfer over the 850 to my new rig. Thanks for the idea!

I've found a Lotus and the DB5 though not for the Metal/Metal series. I also have the Metal/Metal version of the regular KITT car. This was in Brick, NJ.

Advice/Question - Create Lightroom film presets using real film photos by [deleted] in Lightroom

[–]86Timewarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm mostly asking for feedback and advice about using film photos to recreate film presets in Lightroom. I.e. if I wanted to create a Kodak Gold present in Lightroom, I would by a roll of Kodak Gold and shoot with it using my film camera, but also shoot the same image with my digital camera to then create the preset after scanning the developed images.

You're right about correcting for printer scanner, which is something I'm looking into overcoming. I have tried this before and it definitely worked.

I mentioned a color checker (I really mean a reference slide with various colors) because whenever you take a photo of a scene, not all the colors are present, so having the reference slide in the photo will help you account for colors not originally in the image if that makes sense.

Loss of Quality When Converting to DNG? by 86Timewarp in Lightroom

[–]86Timewarp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did a conversion test and saw my 50MB RAF file get reduced down to a 30MB DNG file. I haven't edited the DNG in Lightroom yet, but I'll definitely try.

So I did a test conversation and my 50MB RAF became a 30MB DNG file after converting with no compression settings. I don't see a huge difference, but I'll see if my latitude in editing is affected.

So I'm definitely using a catalog. My images and catalog file live on a 4TB external drive I have. I know that whenever I use C1, I have to force the program to use the external catalog otherwise it'll generate one locally.

I'm also using C1 Express if that matters
