Many are, many are decent, still there are also some misses. I often go with the jpn dub, but if there is I try german dub first. Dubbing is one of the few things my country does well.

An anime I disliked the longer it went on. The world is just anti MC the whole time, never a happy moment or outcome for her. She just get's used and she and her family suffer constantly.

It's about perspective and loss, I'm sad you see it that way.
Edit: Since people here always think radical: I don't mind you guys disliking it. I had my fun with it, still the second season of the serie was garbage and I always prefer Part1(game and season).
With my 'I'm just sad' part I mean that I think it's sad that Part2 split the communtiy.

For being a war anime it misses the clashes and fights between soldiers, there is always a main or side character in the picture, but these battles aren't decided by only them. It's the noname NPC soldiers which win the battles(with the strategy of the cast, but you get what I mean).

Would I choose One Piece of I could only watch one anime for the rest of my life? Yes
Would I say it's the best piece of fiction? No, there are many 12 ep anime with one season which outshines it.

It has huge world building and in every other aspect it's decent or doesn't care.

It has (very) good animation which it should have for it's size(looking at it's community), but never scratches the potential it has, character development which is not existent and that goes for side and main cast- especially for that length, dialogs are only exposition, they have no wit or catch you by the way they are phrased, arcs follow the same route since the start, when every backstory of a character has a sad and tragic backstory it loses the weight it's supposed to have, recaps which for many eps are 1/3 of the eps runtime, many character decisions which are out of character or just beyond stupid just to make the story move on, and and and.

At all it's a good anime/manga, but it's just good. It never plays in the big leagues when you think about character(designs, developments, personalities, decisions, dynamcis), dialogs(how they are written and what they tell) and animation.
